Madeleine was sitting in her shared room with Harriet, and Sonya when Thomas and Minho burst in and said to get all their stuff packed and to go. The girls got up and started packing only the clothes they needed.
"What is going on Thomas?" Teresa asked for the other confused girls in the room. Minho and Thomas shared a look.
"It's W.C.K.D. It has always been W.C.K.D."
They all looked to Minho for a better explanation.
"We found out they have been trying to recreate a metagene or whatever and they were starting to test all of the meta's you were going to be next Madeleine. So we have someone breaking Newt out of where he is being held. And Alby... well he didn't make it." Minho answered the demanding glares.
There was a loud growl from outside the door. Thomas and Minho both jumped scared at hearing the growl. Thomas went to the ground and lifted up the bed. When he got it all the way away from it he opened a vent. They crawled through the vent for at least an hour when they stopped Madeleine knew something would happen.
She saw a brunette boy walk by and Thomas opened the vent. When the brunette boy turned around she noticed it was Aris, another one of her friends. Aris held up a key card and tossed it to Thomas who handed it to Madeleine.
"Keep it safe? Please?" Thomas asked her.
"Of course." She answered. "I can still feel Newt's energy and it is getting stronger. We should be getting closer to him. Aris, go left you should find him there in that hallway. The rest of us need to find a way out and soon the cranks are coming and I do not want to fight failed Meta experiments."
Everyone nodded and went to their designated hallways. Madeleine pocketed the key card and started running. The group rounded the corner and saw another group of kids running.
"Hey, follow us!" Minho yelled. The kids obeyed and followed the group of 5 making it a group of about 20. They heard a yell coming from the side.
"Thomas! Minho!" Aris. He had Newt with him and Madeleine smiled. Newt ran to Thomas and gave him a hug.
"What the-" he was cut off by a yelling noise. Cranks. Thomas grabbed his hand breaking the hug and started running toward the end of the hallway where a door was.
"Hey Leine? You still got that key? I sure hope your ass didn't drop it!" Minho yelled.
Madeleine pulled it out of her pants pocket and waved it in front of Minho's face. "Your fucking lucky I have tight pockets!" She smirks.
"We will explain later!" Harriet yelled to Newt ignoring Madeleine and Minho. They kept
running through the halls. Newt kept wondering how they knew the ins and outs of the place.
"Hey, guys, wait for us!" Madeleine saw a group of other kids running from the corner and leading those kids was Teresa. They started running for about another ten minutes until they turned a corner and saw a garage type door at the end of the hallway.
They came up to a door, Madeleine noticed Aris and a few other kids were missing.Madeleine went up and put the key card on the pad that would open the door. She swiped a few times but it didn't work.
They could hear the Crank's screeching and yelling. Thomas gave Madeleine and Minho a nod and held up his gun. He went around to the back of the group and held up a gun Newt didn't even know he had. Thomas started firing at the cranks that were appearing, he was getting closer to them slowly picking them off one by one.
The group saw figures on the other side of the door coming to realize that it was Aris, Harriet, Sonya, Fry, and Winston. They opened the door from the other side. Everyone was trying to rush. They were all yelling for Thomas to come. Once everyone was behind the door, it slowly started to close.
