Jason and Madeleine were standing on the roof Dick had just entered. They were in their uniforms ready to jump in any second. They heard a yelp and Madeleine jumped first. It was quiet for a second and then she heard a rustle behind her. The two started walking closer to where the yell came from.
"You revealed your true self on that bridge. Just like the acid peeled away the surface to reveal my true self underneath."
"He's an innocent man. Let him go." Madeleine could hear Dick say.
"No." Melting man said in defiance.
Jason jumped forward and yelled, "He gave you an out, dumbass. You should've taken it."
Jason jumped down and punched the melting man but the melting man held up his gun to him and shot Jason. Jason flew back and landed on his back.
Madeleine jumped down after watching Jason and Dick fight him. Clay had been tied up and when one of the acid bullets hit the rope he was tied in and he fell to the floor. Madeleine ran over him and undid his ties.
"Hey, are you alright?" Madeleine asked but only received a small grunt and the nod of his head.
"Nice work." Dick says to the two.
"Dude deserves what he got." Jason was looking down at the now unconscious Melting Man.
"Are you okay?" Madeleine asks, worried about Jason being hit by some of the acid.
"Zylon fibers, man!" He smirked back a response. "You're welcome, by the way, for saving your life." Jason says towards Clay. Madeleine hits his arm, and he turns to see she had an annoyed look.
The group was standing there to catch their breaths when they heard sirens. Madeleine and Jason both looked at each other with a mischievous look in their eyes.
"We have to go." Of course, Dick would want to leave but Madeleine and Jason had other thoughts.
"We can go take care of it." Madeleine says pointing between her and Jason.
The two ran into a room where the police were. They had their flashlights out but there was still darkness that Madeleine and Jason could hide in. Madeleine was the first one to make a move. She stepped out and most of the officers looked towards her. She held her head and all the officers started yelling and running out of the building. Then Jason followed pursuit and went behind one of them to choke them but on the opposite side to make it less suspicious. The real chaos began when Jason got caught and was punched in the side by an officer. Jason took down three more and Madeleine only one.
The last officer Jason had already cornered. "Lights out Bitch." He was behind the man. He grabbed his shoulders and kicked his back. Then Jason fell back, his foot still on the officers back, and broke the cops back.
"Jason!" Madeleine yelled at him "You know Di-" But Madeleine was too late Dick had Jason backed up to one of the pillars.
"What do you think you're doing? They're cops." Dick had his face close to Jason's
"That's the coolest part about being Robin. Wearing a mask. I can do whatever the fuck I want." Jason told them trying very hard to defend himself.
"Did you not just hear what he said? There is no way Batman's cool with beating up cops." Madeleine yells at Jason from beside the boys that were on the pillar.
"He isn't. But I don't see him here. The cops in Gotham kicked my ass every night. Now I get to kick back."
Madeleine was mad at Jason because of what he just said. You shouldn't hurt someone because they have the same job as someone who hurt you.
