It was an average morning besides the fact that I had still been anxious that the purple thing had followed me, but I tried to shrug it off. Clenci and I had gone out to go catch some wild Butterfree to see if we could get any powder out of them when we were suddenly spotted by our worst nightmare. A cluster of infected Clefable. They instantly charged at us at full speed, waving their arms around and reaching for us as we started to sprint away. That's when I heard my sister let out an ear-splitting scream in pain as she fell forward into the dirt with a hard THUD.

I quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her along so we both wouldn't get caught and rushed into our cave, slamming it closed.

"Clenci! Are you okay?" I ask with a worried tone.

"I..I was scratched..." she mumbled weakly.

I gasped when I looked at her back. There was a huge cut in her back that had been dripping with blood and a strange glowing green fluid. She then barfed up a huge glob of the same green stuff all over the ground.

"Oh no..." I spoke quietly in horror, tears forming in my eyes. "N-No..not you..please..."

She turned to look at me in the eyes, hers already turning green. "Cleffina..you need to run..." she said, nearly being able to be heard.

"B-But..I can't just leave you!" I said, feeling the first few tears drip down my face.

"I don't want you getting hurt..just leave me and save yourself..I love you, sis..." she said before she pushed me out of the cave and shut the entrance again.

"NO! CLENCI!" I cried out, wanting to stay with my sister. I couldn't even say goodbye.

I knew I wanted to do what my sister would've wanted me to do, so I ran out into the forest. I hoped that maybe there I could find somewhere new to live and finally be at peace. However, I knew it would never be the same without my sister by my side. That's when the worst happened.

I had pushed through a few bushes before I was in an extremely familiar place. It was the place that purple thing had taken me! I began to shake all over as I saw the purple thing. Its back was facing me, but I could tell that it had been fiddling with something in its hands. Praying that it didn't hear me, I slowly started to back away.

"Where are you going, little kitten?" I heard it say, turning to look at where I stood. "I'm still not finished with you!"

I stayed quiet, hoping that it wouldn't hurt me, but I was suddenly lifted up and pulled closer to it by its weird power.

"What's with the tears? That's no fun, you know," it said, frowning with disappointment.

"Oh god, it noticed.." I thought to myself as I slowly wiped my eyes.

"How about round two of that game we had?" it said with its grin back, charging a shadow ball in its freehand.

I covered my eyes, already knowing what was coming to me as I braced myself for the pain, but for some reason, it never came. I slowly uncovered my eyes to see that even though it still had its shadow ball, it hadn't done anything yet but frown again in dissatisfaction.

"Come on, at least try to fight back! You're so boring!" it groaned as it leaned backward, rolling its eyes.

"H-Hey! I'm not b-boring!" I squeaked, getting its attention back, making its ears perk up.

"So you can speak?" it giggled teasingly. "I didn't realize how squeaky you were!"

I growled in annoyance and swung my tiny hands at it in a sad attempt of hitting it in the face, which got a laugh out of it.

"You need more practice, tiny," it said, grinning.

"Hey! I'm not that tiny! You're just big!" I said angrily, swinging my arms at it some more.

With that, it dropped me onto the ground. "By the way, what's your name? It's not that I care, it's just that I want to make sure that your name isn't just Clefairy just like the others."

"How did you know I was a Clefairy?" I asked.

"I'm not dumb. I can tell that you're just the oddball in the group that you're in," it said, rolling its eyes again.

"Oh, by the way, my name is Cleffina," I said, glancing to the side and lowering my ears.

"You can call me Gengar," he said, giving me a light pat on the head. "Now, let me get rid of this."

I was confused for a moment before I was met with a sharp pain in my face. I cried out in pain as I covered my eyes, realizing that he had just hit me with his shadow ball.

"I'm surprised you haven't rushed back to your family yet," he said, lowering his ears slightly.

I paused and looked at him for a moment. Then I fell onto my knees and started crying, remembering what happened to Clenci and how I couldn't save her. How I just left her behind to die and not even say goodbye. How she told me that she loved me when no one else ever said those words to me.

"Woah, you okay? What happened? Was that a bit too far?" Gengar said, a bit confused but panicked as I felt him lift me up into his arms.

"M-My sister..I couldn't save her..she's gone..." I sobbed, burying my face in his fluffy yet somewhat misty chest.

I felt him freeze for a moment before he said, "I'm sorry, but it's time for you to go."

"W-Wha-" I couldn't even finish speaking before I felt a woosh and then I felt myself land onto a soft patch of grass.

I was teleported to the middle of a field?
