Sweet As Honey

~Chapter 31~

      The four of you have spent every second of the last three days with one another. You and Ranboo share a room, which surprisingly isn't awkward at all. He became almost like a younger brother... who tried to act older than you. He, Tubbo and Tommy were a good distraction during the day. At night it ate at you, sleeping became a scarce thing. You maybe got an hour a night, the boys easily kept you up during the day but it was starting to weigh on you.

     You have gone from talking to each of them every day to only having four to talk to. They were friendships you built over many years, and you just threw them away over trying to save their feelings. But maybe Eren was right, you were being selfish. Sitting around weighing your options wasn't the best idea, you take charge of everything else in your life. Why couldn't you do it then?

     You sit, laying in your little inflatable bed thinking. Tears almost threaten to spill from your eyes as you think about each memory you share with these people. But then you feel a dip on your left. You turn and are met with two sharp gray eyes looking at you.

     "Hello Y/n." Ranboo says with a smile. "You should come eat breakfast with us. Laying around won't help you one bit."

     He is probably right, it doesn't help at all it is making it worse.

     "Alright, I'll join you. Now shoo! I need to get dressed." You try to push him off the bed but he is much bigger than you and also heavier than you expected. Quickly you think to just tickle him and see if that makes him move. It does work. He begins laughing and trying to get away from you. He laughs and screams as you chase him out of the room. This works with James and now him, the two are shockingly similar.

     You quickly put on your clothes before going into the bathroom provided and washing your face, brushing your teeth and your hair.

     As you walk out you hear Wilbur's voice along with the other boys. You've started to bond more with Tubbo's sisters, them being the only other girls around you. As you head towards the sound of voices Looking in you see the tree boys towering over Tubbo, even though he is only a few centimeters shorter than you.

     "Well if it isn't the woman of the hour!" Wilbur raises his voice and spreads his hand out. He must not be a hugger.

     "Hi Will! It's so good to finally meet you in person." You reach your hand out to shake his but he pulls you into a hug. "Oh!"

     "Come on, you came all the way across the ocean! You get a hug for that!" He chuckles. He is very large, your head reaches his mid sternum. Tommy told you he was tall and you had the basic knowledge he would be but this is more than tall. This is very tall.

     "I will always accept a hug." You get the same vibe you got from Ranboo when you hugged him, very much older brother vibes. You always talked with Gwen and Mandy about how he was a very attractive man, and seeing him in person solidifies that. He looks even better.

     "Well," He says, pulling back. "We ought to head over to breakfast now. It's a brilliant morning to walk over." Your brain takes a moment to understand him, it was just a very british sentence.

     The group mumbles their agreement as they head towards the door. You walk over to join them but Will grabs your arm to hold you back. "What are you doing?'' you whisper scream at him.

     "Don't worry! I've got you on this. Just follow my lead." He then walks away. You are beyond confused as to what he meant. Shaking the confusion from your head you walk over and quickly slide into your sneakers. As the five of you walk out the door, Will is whispering something to Tommy and they both look over to you and then back at each other and continue whispering. Will then runs off to Ranboo and you grab Tommy.

     "What did he say to you?" You immediately try to get him to let you in the loop, to help yourself be taken more seriously you are even holding his elbow.

     "I- I don't know what you are talking about Y/n, are you alright?" Tommy tries to ignore the fact he stuttered and starts trying to pull away.

     "Don't pull this crap Simons! What did he say? I know you guys are hiding something." Tommy's eyes widen, you don't like being whispered about and you will find out what he said.

     "I- I really can't-" Will cuts him off.

     "OI TOMMY!! Get up here with us!" Tommy pulls away from you while you are distracted.

      "I'm sorry, I wish I could say but... you'll figure it out soon enough." He half smiles at you while jogging up to be with Ranboo and Will. Leaving you and Tubbo alone.

     "That was weird right?" He whispers to you.

     "Huh?" You don't know if he is referencing the warm weather or what happened with Will.

     "Will, Tommy, and Ranboo. The three of them have been whispering all morning with one another. Why are they leaving us out?" Tubbo puts his hand on his chin, he gives the generic 'I'm thinking' look.

     "I don't know, but I don't like it. They all seem to be up to something." You say, kicking a rock on the street to the side.

     "But what could it be?" Tubbo is looking down as he thinks. You grab onto his arm and guide him around the parking meter. "Oh thank you." He quickly mutters out while still thinking. Looking ahead you see Will and Ranboo looking back, both with big smiles. The two turn back and Tommy then turns, a smile quickly forming before he gives you a thumbs up before turning back and talking to the two other boys.

     It all clicks into place at once. The three of them are leaving the two of you alone and closer together, and almost alone. You let out a deep sigh, you are a little embarrassed, is it that obvious to them that you like him? Will turns around again looking at Tubbo, the smile even bigger than before, yup that is exactly what they are doing.

     "I just can't figure it out." Tubbo hasn't caught on yet, but you have to direct him away from a tree now. "Oh thanks again."

     "No problem, but you should be looking up." You let go of his arm and walk ahead of him towards the other three.

     "Wait up!" He runs up behind you.

     The breakfast goes well, you really enjoy the company of the others fills the gaping hole in your heart quite well for now. You think it may just be best to enjoy the time you have here rather than focus on what is upsetting you. Yes in the long run it's bad for you but you need some light right now. And Tubbo, Ranboo, Tommy and Will have provided that for you. And you are going to hold onto this light as much as you can. Like catching a moonbeam in a jar on a warm summer night. You plop down on the couch beside Ranboo who has begun to quickly fall asleep. The two of you are still pretty jet lagged.

     "Look at the sleepy little ones!" You hear Will whisper to Tommy and Tubbo, even though the two of them are younger than both of you. You hear a 'ding' and feel your pocket vibrate. Quickly pulling out your phone you see a text from Gwen.

Gweny Bear: ALRIGHT!

Gweny Bear: I've convinced Mandy, be ready today around two o'clock your time. She's going to call you and y'all are gonna work this out! And I told her she wasn't allowed to hang up on you until you gave the full story. You're welcome! Have fun and please hug the boo for me.

Y/n: Thank you, I will be ready.

     You never doubted Gwen would get to her for a moment. Gwen is very persuasive and when she can't be that, she knows how to make a person do something by nagging them. You smile, a little nervous before throwing yourself onto Ranboo, who doesn't seem to mind and accepts the snuggle. There Gwen, a hug from you to Ranboo and he seems to like it quite a bit.

     "This might all be over soon with them Boo." You whisper to him still snuggled up into him.

     "Good, I knew they'd come around to getting back with you. You are quite the fun person." He whispers back, "And we are still keeping this from them all right?"

     "Yes, please don't tell Tubbo. I don't want him thinking it could be his fault." You rest your head on his shoulder as you begin to fall asleep.

     "Then I will not tell them." You feel the weight of his head on yours before drifting off.
