I had had lucid dreams every night for a couple of days. My interest didn't lie in solving a specific problem or reaching some goal in my dreams. I just tried to make it as natural for me as possible to switch into that lucid state. And I was getting better at it every time. In the endless change of scenery of the various dreams, at one point, I walked through another door and found myself in the courtyard of a small but beautiful two-story baroque palace.

Its appearance was dominated by beige and white tones, and the moldings were gilded. Construction was going on in the yard, and many workers were busying themselves with the restoration of the building. They were so focused on their work, they had not noticed me. Funnily enough, in each new dream scene, snovids played the same part again, clearly hoping that I was oblivious to the nature of the dream. I said:

- I know I'm dreaming.

The workers immediately stopped what they were doing, and looked at me, disappointed and tired.

- Come over here, everybody. I want to talk.

I hoped to ask some questions of my own and perhaps learn something new about lucid dreaming. The workers reluctantly surrounded me, there were about thirty of them.

- I just want to understand you and this world. Does the dream have borders?

Only one of them replied:

- No.

- So, there are no borders in this dream?

There was no answer.

- Tell me about yourselves, who or what are you?

Only silence. No one wanted to tell me anything. All lowered their eyes, as if unable to meet my gaze from a guilty conscience.

And then I realized what was happening.

They were not allowed or able to talk to me. The only one who had always come up to me and had volunteered to tell me about the world and answer my questions was a very specific snovid. His companions were just "guards", so to speak. He had always told me, almost casually, that I should not talk to the other snovids about the dream:

- It upsets them.

Now he wasn't here, anymore and they didn't want to communicate with me.

What the hell is going one here? Who is he? It was only now that I saw plainly that the essence of the snovid I had talked to time and again had always been the same. His personality, traits and way of communicating had always stayed the same. The next time I see him, I must find out his name, if he has one.
