"Stop patronising me! I don't want your compliments and presents! I don't like sycophancy." Unconcerned, the snovids continue their clumsy attempts to please me. They take me on excursions, let me visit the most beautiful places, or put on masks of old acquaintances so that I can wax nostalgic.
None of these things pacified me. All I wanted was an honest conversation with them, and at some point, a final straw broke the camel's back.
I dreamt of a building, either my first school or the art academy. Both buildings had a classic U-shape. Once inside, I was immediately doted on, and the snovids began bringing me trinkets as gifts, while showering me with compliments. They obviously did not know me as a person, as the gifts and compliments remained stock, not personal to me.
Hidingwas pointless. They followed me even to the toilet. Finally, I said,"Enough." I had been aware that I was dreaming for quite some time, and now, as if ducking under the building and all the dream reality, here I sawsomething that I really wanted to take as a gift. It was a glowing thing, like agrain the size of my fist. I pointed to it. The snovid, were reluctant, nevertheless they complied and handed it to me. As it touched my hand, I knewthat I was holding an unprecedented power in my hands, and it filled me. Tohide from this dream that was so tedious to me, I filled the world around mewith unbearably bright light. A radiance burst forth from me, engulfing firstthe academy, then the surrounding streets, and finally the entire city. All theway to the visible horizon it shone. I was the only one left, floating in thisbrightly glowing void. I breathed a sigh of relief.
