You look at me like you
want to be with me, but
you are so scared that you
don't actually say that.
You always leave a clue,
hinting that there's a way.
I don't know what to do.
You don't know what to say.
If you don't ever change,
and forever remain,
we will never exchange
words our feelings sustain.
There's nothing to cling to
unless we can confide
in each other what's true:
the love we have inside.
Minutes, hours, pass away.
Why are you in fear of
what you're keeping at bay,
your true unspoken love?
Your heart beats faster as
an obvious betrayal
by your chest and tell us
of your fake portrayal.
You keep changing your mind.
I keep getting confused.
I wish you'd be so kind
not to leave my heart bruised.
I look at you like I
want to be with you, but
I'm getting so scared, I
don't actually say that.
