Hiding

Don't hide your tears behind your smile.
Don't hide your fears even for while.

You and I only have today
before we have to walk away.

Please do not lead my heart astray,
just say what you wanted to say.

Unshed tears will fall from my eyes.
You, too, aren't good with goodbyes.

You cannot answer any why's,
or anything 'bout you and I.

So I guess I'll say it for you,
I'll miss you and you miss me too.

You love me and I love you too.
All this is true, you know it too.
