Chapter.8 "Cause I never lose"

The sound of typing echoed the room, the typing was really fast. Faster than the tik tik of the clock beside her.
She was determined to prove her capability. To win the challenge given by Jungkook in less than half of the time given to her.

She pressed the enter key like she was roaring. Well, it was her way of roaring

CRYSTAL POV

I turned my head, looking at the small circular clock beside me. Which had a timer of 40 mins

"Only 3 mins passed?"
I turned my head back to the laptop
"And I already have the password hash"
I smirked as I continued typing

(A password hash: Every alphabet has a hash form. It's like a code to write things in the hacking world. All the passwords are saved in hash form. If you want to know more you can google it;p)

For some reason, I was really determined to win. If it was something usual I would probably be laying on the couch, Chilling but this time I really want to win. I want him to see who I am

I right-clicked on the touchpad. As the website started decoding the password hash to its real word form.

I laid back on the sofa. My hands behind my head as I relaxed my muscles

"It really had more security than normal accounts but it's not a really big deal for me"
I raised my head, looking up staring at the ceiling

"But I still have to improve"
I lowered my head, looking at the screen

*Password hash decoded*
As soon as I saw that written on the screen, I right-clicked it

(faster than the user thv deleting his stories)

I copy-pasted it in the Instagram login page, with the user's email of course

I aggressively pressed the login button

I snapped my head towards the side, wanting to check the time
"6 mins? That was long for m-"
Before I could complete my I was stopped by some hands wrapping around my neck, back hugging me

A warm hug, full of affection and love

I turned to my side looking at Jennie, hugging me with the biggest smile in the world

"You did it!!! You proved all of them wrong AGAIN!!"
She said while swinging around with back hugging me

I turned my head, feeling the presence of people there
Rosé, Jisoo, Lisa staring at me with affection in their eyes, love in their smile

I looked at them and smiled
"I wish I could genuinely smile too"
I thought looking down at my lap

I saw the laptop was ABOUT to fall
I used my reflexes, quickly bending down and catching the MacBook
Well, sadly Jennie got head-butted by me in the process

My hand was joined by some other veiny hands.

JUNGKOOK POV

I looked at those girls celebrating their 'win'
I rolled my eyes.

I saw Crystal looking at her lap but then widening her eyes.
I glanced there and saw the laptop about to fall off.
I widened my eyes too and ran there to save my dear laptop-

I ran there, hitting my toe on the sofa in the process but I gotta save the laptop.
I kneeled and was joined by Crystal, she grabbed the laptop and my hand was under hers.
We snapped our gaze towards each other
I looked at her with anger in my eyes.

Not that, that laptop had something important saved in it- but I'm not letting go of this chance of scolding her.

"THE HECK ARE YOU DOING WITH MY LAPTOP!?? DON'T YOU KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS!??"
I said exaggerating the word 'MY'

CRYSTAL POV

"THE HECK ARE YOU DOING WITH MY LAPTOP!?? DON'T YOU KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS!??"

I closed the laptop and kept it on the table, standing up
"I'm sorry, I let my guard down"
I said as I walked forward to the exit of the room

"Well it's not like you had any files in it and I know it, still I may have broken the laptop so sorry"
I said stopping and looking at him,

JUNKOOK POV

Crystal came near me, near my ear to be specific and whispered
"And yeah, I passed your 'test' in less than half of the time"

"Cause I never lose"
She whispered and went out of the living room

Suga ran after her like he wanted to say something

While I was frozen......
T-those words...... R-remind me of someone..... Someone really special

"Cause I never lose!"
She said pointing at the little Jungkook

I closed my eyes tightly. No... I have to move on... don't think of her don't-

My deep thoughts got interrupted by

"Damn bro just got busted"
Jimin said chucking and looked at me only to be met with my glare

"YAAAH! I'm your Hyung don't give me those looks! I was born in Busan first!!"
He said glaring at me back

CRYSTAL POV

I sat on the bench on which I was sitting before, feeling the cool air streamlining my body as I closed my eyes.

"M-Miss Crystal"

Is this that pale ma- Suga again? Lemme rest y'all-

I opened my eyes and looked at him
"Hmm?"

"Mis-"
"No need to call me 'Miss'. Just call me Crystal"
I said cutting him off.

Did he look somewhat.....happy?
"Ahhh- Thanks for telling."

He sat beside me, never breaking eye contact.
His eyes glowing like never before. Happiness is visible on his face.

"Actually, I'm a REALLY big fan of yours. You've inspired me to do hacking which is my passion now. You made me believe that hacking can be used for good purposes too"
He said with a huge smile. His eyes shaped like a crescent moon

I looked at him. It's been a long time since I was actually useful to someone......

He looked at me, getting no response his smile faded. He looked down and was about to get up and go

"T-thank you!"
I replied fast. I don't wanna disappoint someone who admires my skill

He snapped his head back with his huge gummy smile again.
"I should be the one to thank you!-"

*BEEP* *BEEP*

His watch beeped as he looked down at it and pressed the button there, turning it off.
He raised his head looking at me.
"Sorry but I have to go now. Bye!"
He said as he ran out giving me no time to reply
