Chapter 11

Bright wipes his tears, hoping he doesn't look too obvious about his situation. He's been crying in the shower since days now. His mother's not felt anything when she sees his son crying after wedding dress and Bright can't help but think and get more sad. Pam surely know what she's getting her son into, in the years of misery. Josh isn't exactly like Bright's father at all. He's not a good person, he's not going to fall in love with Bright and make their married life all worth it. Bright tried his best to say in his bright and cheerful voice "Mom, I think this is the one". Pam smile and replied "That was easier than expected. Sometimes you just know". Bright knows a lot of things too, and he also knows he can't have everything he wants in his life.

Time fly by too fast for Bright liking. March went by, then it's April creeping up and he's no closer to feel any kind of happiness. Green is been working overtime, as the wedding is coming together and the time gets closer Bright knows that he's going to have to let Win go from his life. Win who laughs at his jokes, makes his body sing like no one ever did, then plays with his hair and fingers, in the early morning light. Win who he knows better than he knows himself, Win who knows him better than anyone else in the selfish world. Win who he never should have gone home with that first night from bar, because right then he knew the pretty face would break his heart, though he knew since the beginning, still he never tried to save himself from breaking his own heart in the process. The wedding date is an unspoken agreement that they have to stop what they're doing. But it's like an addiction though which Bright not willing to give up. The apartment Bright got with Josh still isn't decorated, Bright hopes the longer he puts it off the longer it's going to take them to move in, and that's fine by him. The more he gets to know Josh the less time he wants to spend with him, which is becoming a big problem considering he's marrying him nearly in 1 month. Gulf grumble at lunch break "Your mother couldn't have found anyone worse for you to marry". Bright swallowed his food and stated "I think she purposely went out of her way to find me the worst possible husband".

As the wedding date nearer Josh started showing his true colours more and more every day, and the more he does that the less Bright likes him. He's shows attitude and he behaves rude, he has no regard for Bright whatsoever and Bright is absolutely certain that he's going to run their company to the ground as soon as he gets the first chance. Several of time Bright went to his mother and tell about this, but he fears Pam already knows. And Bright can't figure out why Pam agrees to entwine his life with Josh like that. Pam is not just marrying Bright but their businesses are merging as well and Vincent's Pharmaceuticals aren't exactly known for their reputable business. Which begs the question of what exactly Pam is getting out of this? As far as from Win, Bright came to know about the company facts that Vachirawit company is doing well even without the merger. Bright also knew they had some brilliant clinical breakthroughs, they don't have loads of contracts but the ones they do have are solid and there's no sign of a breakdown in the business, his father's company has maintain good reputation until now in the market as well.

After hearing everything Pam still assures Bright it's just a smart business move, that one can never be too careful, and never put all their eggs in one basket. But Bright felt Josh basket seems like it's one breath away from falling apart. He is sure one day he'll find out at some point, but he also fears that the point will be too late. Bright was greatful Pam didn't ask him to take leave from work he really don't want to think about the wedding too much it only brings stronger doubt that he rushed into Pam decision too hastily agreed on everything, he had never thought of an arranged marriage with a selfish man he barely knew. He did it out of convenience for himself, but now everything felt like he's only tied a rope for his own neck

It was another day when Bright just wanted to sleep off the day but Josh was waiting for him when he gets near home, it's happened a few times and Bright has no idea why he does it. Josh always come to see him when he's in a bad mood, with the sole purpose of the visit being to bring Bright mood down too. So when Bright sees his car outside his apartment building his heart sinks.
