A day in the life of (Y/N) isn't one to be desired. (Y/N) isn't what everyone calls "normal". No, (Y/N) is deaf and relies on her school translator to help her keep up at school. School: another form of prison in (Y/N)'s mind. The poor girl was currently sitting on the bus, staring at the window as she tried to ignore all of the jabs the other kids around her were doing. (Y/N) noticed her stop was coming and got her stuff ready, until one of the kids shoved her head against the window. She clenched her jaw and fought against the pain as she rubbed the spot briefly before quickly getting up and getting off the bus.

Without a second thought, (Y/N) took off running to her house. She's tired of the same treatment everyday at school, but didn't tell anyone about it: except for her closest and only friend, Miko. (Y/N) ran up the stairs and hid in her room. She pulled out her phone and sat down on her bed, texting Miko.

"Hey you free?" She texted the spunky girl.

"Heck yeah I'm free! Your house or mine?" Miko responded back almost immediately, making (Y/N) smile slightly.

"My house. I don't feel like going out and facing the world right now." (Y/N) answered, frowning slightly. "I just need someone to talk to that's close right now."

"On it! Be there in a few!" Miko texted back.

(Y/N) sighed quietly and closed her eyes, leaning her head back against the wall as she waited for the energetic girl to show up. Just like Miko had said, it was only a few minutes before Miko came bursting into the room with a huge smile. When she noticed (Y/N), her smile faded slightly and she closed the door, walking over to her best friend and sitting next to her on the bed.

"What's wrong?" Miko signed, grabbing the tissue box (Y/N) kept in her room for days like this.

"It won't stop." (Y/N) signed back with a shaky hand, sniffling quietly as she wiped away her tears only for them to be replaced with new ones. "It just gets worse everyday."

Miko hugged (Y/N) tightly in an attempt to comfort her closest friend before her face lit up with an idea.

"I know of something that'll make you happy. Let me make a quick call." Miko signed before flipping her phone open and dialing a number. "Bulk', pick me up at (Y/N)'s house. I have a surprise for her."

(Y/N) tried to read Miko's lips, confused as to who this 'Bulk' was. She's never heard of Miko talk about them before. She watched as Miko closed her phone and smiled brightly.

"Trust me, you'll love this surprise." Miko signed excitedly, making (Y/N) smile slightly and nod.

"I'll trust you on this." She signed back with a faint smile.

It was about half an hour before a green, bulky vehicle pulled up in front of the house the two were at. Miko quickly pulled (Y/N) up and dragged her out to the vehicle. Confused and not having any other choice, (Y/N) got into the back while Miko got into the passenger seat. (Y/N) froze when she noticed there was no driver in the driver seat.

"Miko! What in Primus' name do you think you're doing?!" Bulkhead scolded the spunky girl, who just shrugged in response.

"Making my friend happy. So take us to base!" Miko cheered, causing Bulkhead to sigh and begin driving.
