The adoption request and processus for Jake took several months. Months during which Heeseung and Jay visited Jake every weeks and sometimes everyday.

Heeseung was the most attached to Jake and sometimes when the little boy was really distant and scared it deeply impacted him and made him cry the whole night sometimes... he probably knew deep down inside him that Jake was also poorly treated where he currently was.

Jay really liked the little boy too but he could feel that Jake was intimidated by him. Last week he bought him a really beautiful toy car but when they came back next day Jake kept crying in their arms while one of the volunteers told them that bunch of jealous kids broke it and hit Jake several times.

To say the least, Heeseung spend an awful night trying to not drive all the way to the orphanage to beat those kids ass

But one day, after a really long talk which last several hours they decided that they were ready to go through the long process of adoption and make Jake their son.
At first the orphanage's director and volunteers were skeptical when the couple told them what they wanted to adopt the boy and told them that lot of kids in a better mental state waited for them. This, make Heeseung lost his patience but Jay had to calm him before he do something that he would later regret.

But today is the D-Day and everyone knew that Jake was leaving because of how shocking this information was. Who in their right mind would agree on adopting such a weird kid ?

Early in the morning, Jake was packing up his stuff in his little suitcase happily while saying some inaudible words to his plushies.

-" Daddy Heeseung... nice. "

-" Jake you have to come downstairs please ! "

He then rushed to take his suitcase and his plushies and walk down the stairs. Here were Jay and Heeseung waiting for him but he didn't fainted any smile, he was too anxious for that. He was now having a home and two parents who already loved him so he thought he had to do effort and talk freely to them.

-" Let me take your suitcase Jake. "

Jake secured his plushies tightly on his chest but allowed Jay to take his suitcase. He didn't bid goodbye to anyone clearly unbothered and even quite glad to leave this place.

When he saw Heeseung and Jay's car Jake was amazed by how big it was. He couldn't even get into and had to ask for someone help. Heeseung was right next too him so he tugged on his sleeve to catch his attention.

-" help ... "

It was almost inaudible more quieter than a whisper but Heeseung heard it so clearly. Jake voice sound so fragile like his figure so the older rush to pick him up and comfortably settle him on his new car seat. Jake touched the fabric with his little fingers, everything felt soft and the red color was really pretty he couldn't get his eyes off the car and his car seat.

He soon felt a big hand stroking his chubby right cheek, Heeseung's hand felt soft against his face that Jake wanted to nuzzle more into the older warm touch but he restrain himself. What if they left him soon like every other people did ?

-" Are you comfortable Jake ? Do you want to eat something before we go ? "

Jake shook his head although he was a bit hungry. Eating after or before lunch, dinner and breakfast was strictly forbidden at the orphanage and even at his old home, painful consequences would be faced if baby Jake disrespected this rule and Heeseung was so nice to him that he didn't want to already receive an harsh punishment for not being good on his first day.

But then his tummy started making weird sound, Jake was hungry and there was no doubt that Heeseung didn't here that.

-" Jakey if you are hungry you can eat, there's no problem with that you know. "

Heeseung gave him apple slices and Jake contemplated if he should eat them or not. He remembered how the volunteers would be mean when they caught him eating candies or fruit when he wasn't supposed to but he ate them anyway. If Heeseung gave them to him it's probably because he didn't planned on punishing him after.

Jay came back and Heeseung closed the car door before both of them sat in the front row. Jay gave a quick glance to Jake and smiled at him which Jake didn't return still kind of intimidating by Jay's figure.

-" I can't believe he's finally coming home with us. We waited for this day for
months ! "

-" I just hope he won't have any trouble to adjust there. "

-" He seemed more comfortable with us. Oh and I didn't even told you but he talked to me ! He asked me for help when he couldn't get in the car. His voice is so cute ... he's just so cute as a whole. "

As Heeseung was driving Jay turned his head to see what the little boy was doing and wasn't surprised to see him sleeping.

-" Keep it low love. Someone seems to have a really exhausting morning. "

-" He's asleep ? Well ... that's good because I can feel that Sunghoon and Sunoo are going to visit us. "

-" I told them to wait at least a week before coming. "

-" And you really think this big dickhead named Park Sunghoon will listen to you ? "

-" More than your mom though, I'm sure she's already waiting on our couch. "

-" There's no way, she's on vacation with my brother and his wife for a week. Let's not ask about yours I'm sure she's over excited to meet Jake. "

-" I didn't even tell her that we were adopting a kid. "

After Jay's statement a long silence were heard.

-" Jay what ? "

-" What was the point beside getting in a argument with my father ? Remember when I told them we were dating and also when we were getting married ? I almost died because of him and I don't want to loose my CEO position though. "

-" You're gonna die for real... this time. As much as they hate the idea of you being married to a man, I'm sure they would love the idea of you being a father Jay ! "

-" I don't really think so ... "

-" Either way you will have to tell them at one point. Jake will become the heir of your company you can't keep them away especially your father. "

-" Trust him if I could keep this bastard away from him I would ... Jake doesn't even talk how do you expect my father to react ?! He's gonna freak out and Jake will be frightened. I don't want him to judge our son for things he can't do or say. "

Hearing Jay saying "our son" was kind of sexy for Heeseung but it wasn't on what he should focus and he knew it. He made sure Jake was sleeping and wasn't quietly listening Jay insulting his father and frightened him of his grandfather.

-" If your father dare to say something I'll personally make sure to send him into a retirement home. We know what Jake has been through either at his old home and in this fucking orphanage, he doesn't need to hear once again that he's different or weird in any way. "

Jay agreed maybe not with the part where his father could be sent into a retirement house by his dear husband, at the same time Heeseung was parking his car in front of their home.
