Hyunjin parked his car near Daechul's club. She raised her head exhausted and confused. Why of all places would he take her to her own place? She had been here not too long ago, but long enough for her employees to make repairs from the shootout.

"Let's go inside, Dae," Hyunjin got out, coming around to the other side and opening her door.

"Why are we here?" she asked.

"Just come on," he urged, putting out a hand.

Daechul sighed, taking it and climbing out of the car. Being in public was the last thing she felt like doing right now. She felt horrible and furious — she wanted to be alone. Perhaps Hyunjin knew that and that it wasn't a safe option for her. She knew he was always caring for her, not because he had to but because he wanted to.

Hyunjin led the way inside and found an empty private room for them. He got some drinks and set them on the table in front of her. Sitting down next to her, he leaned back and pulled out his phone.

"Now you can get drunk till your heart's content and you'll be supervised," he stated, scrolling through his phone.

Daechul reached for a glass and poured herself a drink, downing it. As she poured another, she stopped halfway and set it back down. A frown tugged at her lips as she was reminded of the first time she had gone out drinking — with Bangtan for a mission.

"I feel crappy, Hyunjin," she said, letting out a frustrated groan. "I feel so terrible and I don't want to do anything. I don't even want to just sit around."

"No motivation?" he tilted his head, "Numb?"

She nodded her head, burying it in her arms.

"I hate life," she grumbled, "I don't know what to do. How am I supposed to live now?"

Hyunjin sighed, scooting closer to her and placing his arm around her shoulders, "I'll tell you what you do next. You finish that bottle or you don't. Either way, I don't care, but after that, I'm taking you back to my place and you can have as many dying sessions and naps as you want. And you're going to wake up every morning, and you're going to continue what you want to do whether that means your gangs or something else. You're going to drink lots of water and eat healthy too. You're going to take care of yourself because you're a boss and you can't let anything bother you."

Daechul gave him an odd look.

"Mob boss," he specified, "I'm not using it in the terms of 'slay queen'."

She nodded with approval, "Good because I'd kill you."

"No, you wouldn't."

"...you're right."

"So are you going to finish that bottle or not?" he asked.

She stared at it for a good long minute before shaking her head, "No, I don't need it anymore. I'm not getting drunk this time. I refuse."

Hyunjin gave her a proud grin, "Good. I got her back."

"Mhm, you did," she pushed her glass away and let out a long yawn, "I would like to find a bed though."

"I didn't know you were so straightforward," he teased.

Daechul gave him a short glare, "Yes, yes you did, Hyunjin. But I want a bed for myself and myself only."

"Do you want to head to the Residence then? The guys are probably just chilling right now," he suggested. Brushing his hair out of his face, he stood from his seat and motioned his head toward the door in a questioning manner.

"Yeah, I really need sleep," she also stood, "I'm going to sleep until I have to go meet with ATEEZ. I feel like I haven't had proper sleep in years."

"Well, to be fair, you haven't so..." Hyunjin shrugged, "This is why everyone tells you to stop overworking. It's not going to kill you to take a break."

"It actually might."

"Don't be so dramatic," he rolled his eyes, "Let's go."

"You're one to talk."

When they made it to the Stray Kids Residence, Daechul did indeed find her guest room and crash. She slept well into the evening and the males didn't even bother going to wake her up. Chan understood overworking and even though he was usually lacking sleep, he knew the importance of it. He just told his members to stay quiet when passing by her room and not to bother her with anything. The leader also didn't want their friend to wake up on the wrong side of the bed so it would be best to let her sleep until she woke herself up.

But that night the gang and Daechul's five assistants sat around the living room and discussed the past events. Hyunjin explained what the situation was and of course, everyone was shocked. No one knew quite exactly how to respond to the sudden news. All they could do was resolve to be there for Daechul while still remaining an ally to Bangtan.

"That's so odd..." Felix pondered aloud.

"I know," Chan agreed, "Poor Daechul, she's really been on a rollercoaster ever since she came out of hiding."

"Her life before that was still unusual," Hyunjin pointed out. After all, he had been her assassin for a few years before their true friendship blossomed. And he was so thankful that it had.

"I feel bad for Noona," Jeongin stared at his lap, "We should take care of her as best we can."

"She's insane," Beomgyu spoke up, "But I think we all love her equally."
