Payton's POV:

"Payton, wait up!" Payton turned to see her boyfriend running to catch up to her, "Hi Chad," She gave him a quick peck on the cheek when he reached her.

"Hi," he put an arm around her, "What are you doin after school?"

Payton giggled at his question, "Homework silly. And then maybe read a couple books," They walked around the corner to the courtyard where everyone was having lunch,

"Are you sure you aren't Ben's sister? I swear you are like Belle when it comes to reading," They both laugh,

"I'm sure," They looked around the courtyard,

"Did I hear someone say my name?" Chad and Payton both turn to face Ben,

"Hey Benny bear," Payton teased lightly, she giggled when she heard Ben groan,

"Why do you have to call me that?"

Payton rolled her eyes, "Because you're my best friend and I have the right to call you that," The three of them start walking again,

"If you keep calling me Benny bear, I'm gonna start calling you Paytatochip,"

Payton shrugged her shoulders, "I don't care if you call me that,"

She grinned at Ben, she knew she was getting on his nerves ever so slightly. "How I tolerate you, I have no idea," he nudged her softly, then turned his attention to Chad, "How have you been Chad?"

When Payton didn't hear an answer, she looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was waving to some other girls. Payton watched as he smiled and winked at one of them. To be honest, it kinda hurt watching him do that. Payton knew Chad wasn't the greatest guy in the world, he definitely wasn't the type of guy she would share her problems and/or concerns with, so she kinda expected him to cheat on her someday, he's just that type of guy. "So..." Ben starts getting Chad and Payton's attention, "...you guys going to the announcements after this?"

Payton nodded, "It's not like we have a choice—"

"PAYTON!" She heard a yell from behind her. She was just about to look when a weight pushed her down to the ground.

"Ow! Melody, what the heck!" Payton sat up and scolded the red head.

"Hey, I was saving you," She pushed her hair back and out of her face.

Payton's voice almost went 2 octaves higher, "From what?"

Melody pointed behind her and she looked. There, sticking out of the tree was an arrow that someone must've shot. Payton's eyes narrowed as she turned to the red head, "Melody, did you fire that arrow?"

Melody scrunches her nose, "What! No, someone else did it, I saw the arrow being aimed at you."

"You girls ok?"

Payton grabbed Ben's outstretched hand and he pulled her up. Chad did the same for Melody. Payton brushed herself off and checked the skirt of her dress, "Melody you are so lucky there aren't any grass stains on my dress. If there were, you would've been dead already." Her eyes widened, Payton could hear a little whelp come from her mouth. Payton usually didn't mind grass stains on her clothes but when it came to skirts and dresses that were white or cream, she was super protective about it.
