Payton's POV:

"So how are you liking school?" Payton asked, breaking the silence between them.

Carlos shrugged, "It's alright I guess. Although I'm used to going out and being annoying to others everyday, that's all we really did on the Isle,"

"Nothing? You guys didn't have, like board games or anything?"

"What are board games?"

Payton looked at Carlos in disbelief, "You guys don't know what board games are?" Carlos shook his head. Payton scoffed, "Ok remind me to show you what they are later on, they are so much fun. Please tell me you know what card games are,"

"I know what cards are but you can play games with them?"

"I can not belie—you know what? I'm not going to ask. What did you guys have on the Isle?"

"Not much, no candy except for like suckers. No toys or anything like that, lots of stealing and chaos,"

"And you guys think that's fun? You liked that life?"

"Well, I mean yeah. We would always see people in Auradon living in paradise and we always thought that everyone was just rich jerks, we always hated the people of Auradon."

Payton mumbled quietly, "If only you knew," Carlos didn't pay attention to that though.

Payton's eyes lit up, "Ooh! Melody's doing target practice!" She jumped up and ran over to the other red-head, Carlos chuckled and followed behind.

"I thought you'd be nearby," Melody chuckled and handed Payton a bow and quiver.

"You know me too well Mel," Payton laughed and took the supplies. Jay jogged over to Carlos' side,

"So, you two any good?"

"Puh-lease, I'm better than Merida herself," Payton exclaimed,

"I would disagree with her but I'd be lying," Melody said calmly, "And Merida is my mom!"

Jay whistled, "You must be pretty good then,"

Payton shrugged, "Targets are one thing, I'm a lot better hunting animals than shooting targets. If the targets moved though..."

"Payton, how many times do I have to tell you, we are not getting moving targets," Ben called out from behind Carlos and Jay. "Hey guys," Ben said to the guys.

"But why?" Payton whined, "I'm getting bored of plain targets Ben, and your parents won't let me go hunting in the forest,"

"You need to prove that you can have them first," Ben said sternly,

"Like this?" She quickly turned and shot an arrow, all in less than two seconds, they all watched as the arrow embedded itself into a tree mere centimeters from a person's head.

"Who is that?" Carlos asked, pointing to the person who was currently freaking out.

"Chad," Payton chuckled, Melody held her fist out for Payton to bump.

"Alright, maybe I can talk to my parents about letting you hunt in the forest," Ben gulped. "Anyway, Carlos we need to go do your sprints,"

Carlos nodded, "Alright, see y'all later,"

"I need to go anyways, I have to go make sure Lonnie doesn't find my stash of snacks. See ya Mel, Jay."

Payton walked across the hall to Mal and Evie's room and knocked, after a couple seconds, Mal opened the door and smiled, "Hey Payton, what's up?"

"Hey I just got the word from FG, she says that we can change the color of your room, if you guys still want to."
