Lisa and I got married and eloped.   My family wasn't pleased but it was too difficult to get everyone's schedule to make it work. So we eloped.  I had finally graduated from law school and became the youngest partner in a law firm.  I heard gossip of me and Carmen sleeping together was the reason I made partner  . Yes I had a thing with her and my fiancé at the time.  For my birthday,  she took me aside when she gave me  huge pay raise telling me it was Fred Lewis suggestion I become partner.  I had made their jobs easier during my internship and later when they hired me part time while I was in school. This was our first anniversary of being married and  we looked at our only wedding photo we took in Las Vegas.

I had purchased my my wife a new jeep she had wanted in the bay area and my dad was keeping it at his place.  I had already added it to our policy. 

Babe Samantha wants us to go up there for her 17th birthday. She wanted to spend the weekend with us and I told her yes. We have to get her anyway. Plus she wants to look for a car here since its cheaper here. She told my dad she wants a car exactly like yours since you let her take her driver's test in it here.  So let's drive your car there now but I need to pick up her gift and drop off something at my aunts first. She has to work late so she can't make it.  Sweetie you know we won't make it the restaurant on time. They know that.

Lisa drives us to my aunts and she backs in as usual and we get out.

Sweetie why is your grandparents and Tabitha here? I don't know. It doesn't make sense. Let's go find out.
We walk in.  Hi sis. Don't hi sis me. Why are you and grandma and grandpa here and dad and Tabitha. Well dad figured we surprise you and have the dinner here since auntie was getting off late and Amal didn't want Joy and her mom to have to drive back late.  Amal invited us to stay here, since you are taking Tabitha to look for close to a new car here. I see. Lisa may I drive your car to the store with you. I need to get more practice dad said. He won't let me practice in his car and Tabitha is at school or work and busy all the time for me to use her.  Babe I will come out there with you. I forgot to bring in what my aunt needed from me. Okay.
The three of us exit the house and my aunt is parking her car.
She is in on the surprise for my wife.
Avery whose jeep? I don't know auntie. Hi Samantha and Lisa.  Hi auntie  Hi Janice. Auntie here is the bag you left at my house.  Lisa can you get it for me. Sure Janice.  Lisa please look inside the bag. Okay sure..

Babe stop.  Why? The plates aren't for your mustang. Well give me a hint . Turn around and see what Samantha is holding in her hands? Yes keys . Why don't the two of you switch . Okay.  Babe the jeep keys are yours. Mine. Yes .
My wife smiles and starts to laugh and laugh louder when everyone comes out .

Babe why are you laughing? This is similar to what your grandmother did to you. YES I KNOW.  LET ME GUESS , MY MUSTANG IS NOW SAMANTHAS. Yes.  I have another year to pay on it. My dad knows. We just need you to transfer it in Samantha's name. I can't  I have to call the credit union.  They are the holder of my pink slip. Do you mean this one Lisa? Yes Samantha. My dad paid it off this morning. You in-laws are something else.  So we were never going to go to San Francisco ? No, but we are going to Juanita's for dinner.

Lisa signs it over to my baby sister and my dad adds the car to his policy. 
Babe your jeep is on our policy. I called and had the mustang removed when we pulled up.  You didn't call the insurance agent. I did before we left.  I told him in 45 minutes to transfer it out of our insurance.  I just received a text stating it's done. You put your sorry team license frame and your lovely license frame than I want a kiss. No Avery kiss first than the frame and plate.My team is not sorry. We have talked about this. Its a sport just like anything in life wun or lose  They just loose alot  I like that better. You always see things on a good way.

She always sees things differently   Her team is awful,but she doesn't give up. Enough about sports you two. Okay Amal. Mom we will take you and Joy in my suv.  Mom and dad come with me.
