Looking at Rhaegar in her arms always seemed to calm Rhaella, he looked unaware of the world around him. He was truly the greatest thing to have happened to her. She had hoped that Rhaegar's birth would have brought her and Aerys together , but not everything comes about as you wish them to be.

-your highness -the maid called from the door.

-yes?what is it?

-a kingsguard has come from kingslanding, with a message from the king.

-truly?

-yes, princess, he is waiting for you and the prince in the hall.

-call the nursmaid and tell her to stay with Rhaegar while i meet with the kingsguard.

-of course, your highness.

I laid Rhae in his crib and went to the throne hall of dragonstone. what news has my grandfather sent i wonder, perhaps he sent some gifts for my little boy.My brother was already in the hall speaking with the guard wearing white armor.

-finally you have come Rhaella, ser Barristan has come a long way with a gift from the king for our son!

-a gift you say?

-a wonderful gift at that!come see!

The gift my brother was speaking of laid in a golden chest, shining and beautiful as molten gold, i walked closer to it without thinking, a voice calling out to me wanting me to get closer.

-Are they not beautiful sister? dragon eggs for our son!

-truly a special gift, dear husband.perhaps dragons will roam the sky once more as our grandfather's dreams foresee.

-perhaps,perhaps.

-ser. Barristan we are very grateful for the gifts you have brought us,you must be tired from the long journey, we have rooms ready for you, if you would follow me.

-thank you princess, your highness.

The gifts could wait for later, i would have them taken to the nursery later, so i could have one of them laid in the crib with Rhaegar, perhaps it would gift him greatness in the future.

-do tell ser. Barristan how fare my father?

-Prince's health is worsening day by day, your highness, the maesters are doing everything they can but, they say that by this rate the prince will live no more then three years.

-my father was always frail, but after years he has gotten only worse. I am sure you are tired ser, i shall leave you now.

- thank you, your highness.

OOOOOOOOOOOO

There were three dragon eggs in the chest, one as dark purple as my son's eyes, another as blue as sky and the third one was like gold itself, they were truly beautiful. I wonder what color might the hatchlings have been if they had ever hatched, there was no way to know, dragons haven't roamed the skies for a century.

The sky tonight was dark without stars and the moon was no where to be seen, wind blowing hard against the castle walls. There will be a terrible storm this night. A child's cry sounded through the nursery, picking Rhaegar from his crib I started to feed him. Rhaegar is a quiet child sometimes too quiet, he won't even cry if he isn't hungry, he rarely laughs, it sometimes scares me for him to be so quiet, Aunt Jenny told me many times that it was quite normal for some children to be like this, that cousin Maximilian was also very quiet as a child, but it still scares me.

My little babe quiet yet, so beautiful, he will be very handsome one day with his silver hair and indigo eyes, perhaps he will be handsomer then Maximillian one day. Laying Rhaegar down in his crib, i laid the purple egg down beside him. I pray to the gods to give my son the greatness of warrior and wise mind of a king.

The storm came as strong as i thought it would have been, by the end of the night there was a red star in the sky, but in the morning, in the nursery there was a creature not seen in a hundred year.
