It was a good thing I told her to sit down no sooner did the word leave my lips did her body go slack as she fainted. It gave me deja vu from the first time she was here. Sighing I picked up her limp body and carried her down the hall to my room; I debated changing her out of her jeans but then thought better of it. I pulled the blankets over her and left to go to Sean's room.

The best thing I could probably do was give her some space so she can process this all whenever she wakes up. Sean's room was practically empty, neither of us had much stuff but when he left he took almost everything he did have. Before long I was asleep comforted by the fact that for the first time Sara was going to be safe for the night.

The first time I heard Sara whisper my name I thought it was a dream but then she spoke again more forcefully, "Lance wake up, what happened?"

I sat up slowly leaning against the headboard, Sara was standing in the middle of the doorway staring at me. Her eyes were wide, he hair was a mess, and her cheeks were flushed, "You fainted so I carried you into my room and then I came in here and fell asleep."

She nodded as if that was what she expected, "We need to talk."

"Okay," I flipped on the bedside lamp and patted the bed for her to sit next to me. Once she she seated her self next to me on the bed but far enough away that we didn't touch I continued, "What do you want to talk about?"

"Everything! Well mostly the whole mate thing. are you sure it's me?"

"One hundred percent," I said laying back down and closing my eyes.

She hit my chest sending sparks where her flesh touched mine, "What does this whole mate thing mean?"

I opened one eyes, "It means that we are in love even if you haven't noticed yet. You don't want me with anyone else and I sure as hell don't want you with anyone else."

"So now what do we do?"

"Go to bed," I said snapping the light off.

"How can you possible sleep?" She asked still sitting up.

"It would be a lot easier if you stopped talking," I knew it was mean of me to say. She was in shock but I was exhausted; I hardly slept those nights I stayed outside her house.

"Nope I'm going to keep talking. If I can't sleep you're not going to either."

"And why can't you sleep?"

"Because my mind racing a mile a minute because you told me so much stuff. And Like I'm still not really sure what this whole mate thing means, I just can't stop thinking," she said it so quickly I was almost positive she said it all in one breath.

I chuckled, "Okay shh I have an idea." I pulled on her arm until she finally laid down next to me, I adjusted both of us so she was laying partially on top of my chest. "Can you hear my heart?" she nodded, "It is beating perfectly in sync with your's right now. Just listen."

She laid there silently after a few minutes I felt her muscles loosen up as she got comfortable. Soon she was breathing evenly and I knew she was asleep; I wrapped my arms tightly around her pulling her closer and feel asleep for the first time with my mate in my arms.

I woke up after my best nights sleep to find Sara staring at me. At some point she put her hair up because it was now in a bun on the top of her head, my arms was still draped across her waist but I didn't dare move it worried she would make me get off. She had a small smile on her lips and her eyes were sparkling like I had never seen them do before. "Hey," I said hoarsely, she looked amazing even now after just waking up.
