SCHOOL BOY SHORTS.

THIRD PERSON POV :

--

Y/N L/N, Thirteen years old. Y/N was an average little girl. Often after school she'd volunteer at a library to pass some time, and honestly to just get away from her family.

At home she had her Mother, Father and her two twin brothers, Bruce and Willis, both of which were seventeen years old.

Her parents were painfully old fashioned, not letting her out of the house at all except if she went to school and her volunteering at the library of course.

This naturally caused her to have no friends what so ever, making her an introvert who'd casually find herself listening to music on her record player inside her bedroom.

Her Father was never home.

He had always worked, he was an extremely hard worker as he was a lawyer who worked on many cases everyday all of the time, thus he was always in his office, not allowing anyone to come inside said office either.

Her Father was entirely not fond of her Mother at all, work started to not be the only reason he was so absent, he started to keep himself to other places as much as he could.

Ignoring the idea of his own family completely.

Her Mother was distant as well, she was never home as she was working herself. The times she was home though, she would lecture her daughter for not being pretty, thin or smart enough. Often questioning her grades, asking what she will do with her life.

On top of that her Mother would drink, a lot. And since Y/N often was left alone with her Mother horrible things would happen, plates being smashed as glass was thrown, yelling and crying. Tears rolled down as blood began to seep through deep cuts she had gotten within a second.

No one cared. No one was there.

Yet. Outside they were the most ideal family, the friends of the family would bicker amongst themselves about how they all seemed so well put together, like pieces of a puzzle.

Perhaps . . .

Now, her brothers weren't the best, but they were good enough. Each not being entirely home as well, as they had more important things to do like, working and studying. They hung out a lot with their friends and barely knew their sister, only thing they could say about her was well her name and probably a thing she liked or did years ago.

Something completely irrelevant . . .

Y/N often caught herself thinking,

What were to happen if I was to run away?

But inevitably, you can't run away from your problems, for they run with you and probably quicker.

"Thank you, Miss Auphrey! I'll be sure to read these soon!" I yelled loudly as I opened the glass door to the library, stuffing a few books into my backpack, walking out with a pleased smile.
