ADDICTIONS.

My eyes quickly darted to the side, Diego coming into view as he walked towards us, I hurriedly composed myself.
"No sign of Vanya?"
"She's not in any of the rooms."
"She's not downstairs either." the three brothers informed one another, me walking alongside them all.
"Well, I'm out."
"Wait. Wait . . . "
"Where are you going? Vanya's still out there, and so are Hazel and Cha-Cha." Five mentioned, stepping forward to his brother as his eyes squinted slightly,
"I know. I'm gonna get my things and then I'm outta here. I got unfinished business with those fools." Diego lowly said, his voice monotone as he walked away from us three.
I felt my lips pull to the side in thought,
"Moron." I muttered in a hushed tone as I listened to his steps on the wooden stairs echo along the shallow home.
I've gotten quite comfortable with the Hargreeves recently. I'm happy about that.
Klaus turned away from us, sighing behind us. Five suddenly pulled me to his side, us both now facing Klaus,
"Hey, did Dad say anything about the apocalypse when you spoke to him?" Five questioned, his hands shoved in his pockets, eyes intently on his eccentric brother.
Klaus sighed heavily,
"Any clues as to how it happened?" Five added, his stare lingering.
Apocalypse this . . .
Apocalypse that . . .
When is it gonna be Y/N this and Y/N that again!
I pouted in thought.
"No. No clues. Truly terrific shave." Klaus expressed with bewilderment, shaking his head at the thought,
"But no clues."
"Well, that's alright." I softly inquired, not having an ounce of care to spare for the pitiful apocalypse that was to come.
If I could have my own opinion on this matter I'd let it happen.
Humanity has to end eventually and it would do the universe wonders if they all collectively vanished . . .
Five looked between Klaus and I angrily, disbelief had painted his face.
"No . . . not fucking alright, Y/N!"
Five exclaimed, emphasizing his speech. My eyes grew wide for only a moment before they reverted back to their usual gaze, looking over his features.
Five looked like he was about to explode, yet instead of saying any more he simply sighed in an agitated manner before he passed us by, trudging downstairs.
"Jeez." he muttered from under his breath. I rolled my eyes slightly as I crossed my arms,
"You know, come to think of it, he did mention something about my potential, and how I've barely even scratched the surface of my--"
"How'd he know about the apocalypse?"
Completely rude; interrupting him like that.
"I dont know, but listen. This whole jumping throught time thing of yours, how did . . . How did you know how to do that?"
"I didn't." Five stalled, his voice louder than it was in the previous sentences he spoke. I looked to the floor as I scratched my neck,
"You'd realize that if you were actually sober." Five retorted, the statement causing my head to lift up as I softly nudged his shoulder in disapproval, he simply rolled his eyes.
Five roughly grabbed my arm as he turned his back on Klaus, walking away before Klaus began to speak once more, catching our attention again.
"Hey, I am sober. I've been sober for two-- almost two days now." Klaus mentioned, I slightly turned my body to give him a thumbs up, a wide grin plastered on my blank face.
That's right.
Gaslight yourself until it's true.
Five himself turned around, his hand still keeping a firm grip on my poor arm.
"Yeah, two days."
"Which is a lot!" I exclaimed, directing my gaze to Five for a solid minute,
"It feels like 45 years." Klaus muttered, eyes stuck to the floor we all stood on. My lips pulled a thin line, my thoughts turning foggy by the second.
"Who are you kidding, Klaus? I've seen you fidgeting all day."
"Well I guess we're both fighting our addictions, then."
"I'm not an addict."
"Yeah, you are." I stared between the two, Five's view completely turned to Klaus as I stood behind him. I nodded subconsciously at Klaus' words.
What he said was indeed true.
"You're addicted to a drug called the apocalypse."
"You're wrong."
"First sign. Denial." I spoke up from behind, my hands behind my back as I held a shit-eating grin, watching Five turn around to briefly glare at me with his clenced jaw.
Someone's mad. :)
I simply shrugged, looking off to the side, Klaus turned away from us both, trying to walk away before Five hurriedly blinked infront of him, his finger pointing into his chest.
My eyes widened,
"You and I, we're not the same."
Sure.
You are a sinner.
And he is a saint.
Or should it be the other way around . . .
Klaus chuckled at his brother, his head tilted down to look into Five's eyes during his agitated state.
"I've seen that look in eye of someone who doesn't know who they are without their high anymore."
My lips pulled a frown, my body pulled back to now stand idly and stare at the pair before me.
You think so?
"Trust me. You gotta just let go." Klaus calmly suggested, his voice soft as he whispered lowly.
Five gave the man a stern look, burning holes into his polluted mind before he threw the glass eye we all came to love onto the floor in one quick flick of his wrist.
Scattered!
I winced at the sudden action, jumping slightly as my brows lifted.
Tsk. Tsk.
Someone could step in that and get . . . seriously injured . . .
I'd like that to happen to me.
Five walked past Klaus. I felt myself get stiff under his gaze as he stomped towards me, grabbing my shoulder as he forcefully turned me around.
My tummy.
Feels odd.
"Figuratively, but yeah, that works too." Klaus sighed out lastly.
. . .
Is it over?
