Lauryn Hill played as KJ cleaned and organized her new gym office. KJ had realized her gym had grown a lot since she had opened it, and she needed a second location. Her week had consisted of interviews for this gym's team, signing packages that held new equipment, and cleaning.
It had been a month since Maliyah's funeral, and she was slowly finding her way through her grief.
"Come in" she said as a knock sounded at her door.
"Hey baby"
Her stomach turned as she looked up to face Kross.
"No leave me alone" she spat.
He shook his head "Babygirl please, I'm sorry about Maliyah and your pops"
"I said leave me alone" she said feeling herself get emotional, but she held her tears back.
"Bitch you heard her" Amir came out of her closet and set a box down.
Kross looked at him and laughed "You her bodyguard right? Give us some privacy"
"Right he can't be" Amir laughed to himself
Kross and KJ eyed him.
Amir started towards him, but KJ stepped in between the two before he could fully reach Kross.. who was now almost out the door.
"Pussy" Amir chuckled.
"KJ just call me" Kross said before he quickly walked out.
Amir shook his head and went back inside the closet.
"Fuck you keep defending that nigga for?"
KJ scrunched up her face "How did I defend him?"
"You stepped in front of me" Amir said as he broke down a box.
"I'm not tryna have no legal problems tied to my business and.. and because you did that thing" she told him.
"What thing?" He raised his brow.
"You know.."
"I know?" He smirked.
"Yes talking to yourself Amir" she finally huffed out.
He chuckled "Do I scare you?"
"Sometimes" she nodded.
"Hmm" he sounded.
"You supposed to be like 'nah baby I wouldn't do anything to you, don't be scared' not no damn hMm" she said mugging him.
"I mean I won't do anything to hurt you," he told her.
"But?"
"But nothing. I can't change how you perceive me," he shrugged.
