"Mr Vansh Justin, do you take Ms Riddhima to be your lawfully wedded wife, to share your life openly, standing with her in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, in hardship and in ease, to cherish and love forever more?" Father asked and looked at me.

I was in a black suit and white shirt decked up as a groom. I looked before me. There she was decked up as a bride, my bride, my Riddhima! She was wearing a pristine white wedding gown and a net veil on her face, her hair locks left open while she was holding a bouquet of red roses in her hand. She was looking like an angel descended from heaven! Well, she's my angel of course.

"Yes, I do." I replied instantly. It was the best moment of my life. I was going to marry Riddhima, the love of my life!

"Ms Riddhima D'souza, do you take Mr. Vansh Justin to be your lawfully wedded wife, to share your life openly, standing with him in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, in hardship and in ease, to cherish and love forever more?" this time Father asked Riddhima.

"Yes, I do." Riddhima replied looking at me with a bright smile on her face. And then, we both exchanged rings. The glee on her face that expressed that she was truly happy to marry me was more pleasant than anything!

"Now you both are husband and wife. Mr Vansh Justin, you may kiss the bride." Father permitted and I was more than happy. I grabbed her waist gently and brought her close to me. I lifted her veil to see her angelic face. She blushed a little and looked at the ground. Then looked at me with eyes full of love and threw a billion dollar smile at me. I reciprocated with a genuine smile and then looked at her plump cherry lips. I inched closer to her lips, our lips almost touching and was about to capture them in mine.

"Vansh!! Wake up quickly! Simon is here. He is waiting for you in hall." mom shouted from downstairs so loudly that I almost fell from the bed. Oh, so that was a dream. A beautiful but incomplete dream I dream everyday.

"What the heck! Simon, that bastard ! He always drops up in the wrong time. Had he died if he had came a minute later? I was about to kiss her! Nobody lets me complete this dream, ever!" I muttered under my breath frustrated. I went to the washroom to get freshen up and got ready for college. When I got downstairs, I saw Simon was waiting for me.

"Buddy, you are late again." he said getting up from the couch he was sitting on earlier the moment he saw me coming.

"You are just too fast Simon." I replied.
"Always ending up in the wrong time." I muttered slowly this time but maybe Simon heard that.

"Sorry for intervening in your dream with your sweetheart but we gotta go." Simon asked with a chuckle.
"Why don’t you just propose Riddhima?" he suggested keeping a hand on my shoulder.

"You know Simon, that I am afraid of getting rejected by her. Then our friendship will also be gone. I won't be able to bear that her ignorance for me." I expressed my fears to Simon.

Riddhima, Riddhima D'souza. The girl I fell for on the very first sight. It was so unusual of me because I never look at any girl like that. But her one glimpse, her angelic face, her big doe shaped eyes that always screamed innocence and a sweet smile adorning her pink plump lips captured my heart. Her innocence, her cheerful nature, her strength for standing against the wrong was enough to make me fall in love with her, madly.

Simon knew about it from the starting. How could my feelings for a girl be kept hidden from my best friend who knows me in and out? He insisted me to propose Riddhima several times but I always backed off fearing to be rejected.

"Vansh, Simon, come on boys. Take your breakfast." mom said from the kitchen bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Sorry mom. We are already very late today. We will have something in college canteen. Don’t worry. Bye!" I said and motioned Simon towards the exit door.

"Aunty, Vansh won't be returning home tonight. Actually I need his help in my assignments." Simon said out of nowhere. Well, he didn’t tell me about it before. But I have no problem having a night out so I just nodded. Mom came to us from the kitchen.

"Okay dear. Bye." she said and we got out of my house.

"Dude, what was that for?" I asked once we hopped on my car and Simon began to drive.

"What are you talking about?" he asked innocently. Well, as his best friend I also know him in and out. I can bet there is something not-so-good cooking in his head.

"You know what I am talking about. Come on, spill it up. What is the disaster are you going to do tonight?" I asked raising my eyebrows suspiciously.

"I already told that I need your help in assignments." he replied.

"I will take it as a joke." I said and shrugged my shoulders. I have known Simon for a long time now. Assignments, studies and all have always been his enemy.

Last time he had asked me for a nightout in the name of some help in college paperworks, the whole night he had spent in a late night club dancing and drinking like a pig even after my thousand warnings of not to get too drunk. At last I had to escort that bastard home. When we had stopped at a checkpost for checking, that pig even asked one of the officers if he had a daughter. And if he had one, he asked for her number from that officer in his drunken state. Thank God that officer didn't thrash both of us black and blue and I somehow drove off there. If he does something like that today also, then I swear I am leaving this pig right there to rot in some gutter.

"As you wish." came his reply. If he wants to keep it a suspense, then let it be. Why pressuring my precious brain for something I am going to find out eventually?

Shrugging my thoughts, I started the sound system in my car and started vibing with the loud music that was playing in it. Within some minutes we were in the parking lot of our college. I and Simon got out of the car.
