4.3. I Love You!

As I walked further, suddenly lights lit up and the place brightened. My eyes widened ever so slightly as I spotted the place that was beautifully decorated with red and white roses. There was a round decorated table in the middle of the setup with two chairs on the either side of it. There were lit many candles scattered all around the place. A perfect date setup it felt like.

While I was busy observing the place, suddenly a sweet voice rang in my ears. And I instantly glanced back towards the source of it knowing exactly whose voice it was.

"Vansh!"

I instantly looked back to see Riddhima kneeling before me with a red rose in her hand. A smile broke on my face unintentionally. She was wearing a red gown and minimal makeup looking absolutely beautiful but attracted me the most was her beautiful smile etched on her lips and the glee on her face. I was lost in those beautiful orbs of hers which were looking at me with so many emotions. But love, admiration and care was the most evident in them. Wait, love?

"Vansh!!" she cooed again that broke my trance.

"Hmm?" I replied absentmindedly, still lost. Am I in some dream?

"I love you, Vansh!" she confessed.

Everything happened so fast. When her words finally registered in my mind, I was confused whether I was shocked more or happy more. More than that, I wondered if it was even real. My love, my Riddhima confessed that she loves me! God, am I dreaming again?

"Vansh, please reply." she said again and I got my senses back.

A big smile crept up on my lips when I realized what was happening. I instantly grabbed her shoulders and hugged her tightly.

"I love you too, Riddhima!" I confessed, finally! She reciprocated the hug gladly and we stayed like that for some time.

"Finally you both confessed!" a feminine voice behind us spoke. It was Sejal and Simon accompanied with her.

"You both planned this?" I asked looking at them amused.

"Basically it was my idea. God! Convincing Riddhima to propose first was hell of a task! Otherwise these two dumbos would have died single loving each other secretly." Sejal exclaimed.

I looked at Riddhima. She blushed a little bowing her head. This fetched a small smile on my face. So what Sejal said was true. Well, I was definitely going to tease her on that later.

"At least Riddhima had guts to propose. Otherwise Vansh wouldn't have been able to propose her in the next seven births." Simon laughed mockingly. I shot a glare at him.

"Thank you so much for your help, guys." I said with a big smile.
"Now get out." I added signalling them with my eyes to get lost, especially Simon.

"Don’t be so ungrateful, buddy. Today I had to listen to all those professors useless rantings to keep you busy and arrange with these without you knowing. Thanks to my stars that my ears hadn’t bled listening to them." Simon complained.

"Ohh I am not being ungrateful at all. After my and Riddhima's wedding, I will name my future babies after your names as a sign of gratefulness. Now get lost if you want that to happen in the near future." I said in a bored tone and brought Riddhima close to me by her waist.
"Okay sweetheart?" I asked her mischievously. Her faced turned red in embarrassment. She whacked me lightly on my arm.

"I hadn’t realised before that you were this shameless." she remarked slowly and I chuckled.

"Ouchh...! What shameless? Isn’t that obvious that we will get married when we are settled and have kids too? What’s wrong in saying that?" I asked innocently. Ohh I love to fake innocence when it comes to teasing her.

"Shut up! Will you?" she tried to be stern but failed miserably to hide her shyness.

"Shut me up please." I said bringing my lips closer to her when Sejal fake coughed.

Riddhima pushed me making distance between us and crossed her arms on her chest faking anger. How cute!

"What? You guys are still here? Wanna enjoy the free show going on?" I asked raising my eyebrows at them who were shamelessly gawking at us interrupting in our date.
"Just go and find a partner for yourselves rathar than standing in your friend's date unnecessarily." I teased in a taunting tone that was actually directed to Simon.

"Buddy you showed your true colours as soon as you got a partner? Don’t play that on me. Otherwise just like I helped getting you a girlfriend, I will arrange your breakup too." Simon threatened.

"Are you sure you could do that?" I asked folding my arms.

"Try me!" he spoke up in the same tone.

"Don’t be jealous. I will help in your setting also." I said winked mischievously.

"No need." he spoke arrogantly.

"Okay! Then rot alone and let me spend some time with my newly made girlfriend."

"Come Sejal ! Let's go. Let those dumb heads spend some time alone. This ungrateful man will eventually come to my house tonight. I will deal with him there. Huh!" he spoke with an attitude and proceeded to leave grabbing Sejal's hand.

"Bye Riddhima. Do come to City Hospital tomorrow because you will see Vansh there only after tonight. Bye ungrateful bastard!" Simon waved at us and Sejal chuckled.

"Bye-bye Simon. Have a great time with Sejal. And yeah, don’t forget to dream thrashing me because you won't be able to do that in reality." I said emphasizing on 'Sejal' and waved at them. I winked at Simon when he turned back to look at me. Simon smirked. I know he won't go home this soon rather will find excuses to spend more time with Sejal.

"We will see." he said and went away with Sejal.

"What was that? Simon likes someone?" Riddhima asked once they were gone.

"You will know soon." I replied and held her hand. I took her to the round table and made her sit there. I also sat bringing my chair close to hers.

"You never told me that you loved me." I spoke teasingly.

"So do you." she replied in the same tone.

"Because I know I have an irresistible charm. So you will come to me sooner or later." I said and winked at her.

"You are so full of yourself." she complained cutely.

"Still you fell for me. Didn’t you?" I asked grinning.

"Not that you didn’t fall for me."

"Of course I did." I confessed.

My love for you is a journey, starting at forever and ending at never.
