"They'd be together."
Penelope Adaams, Army of Ghosts

She had just put her aunt to bed, the poor woman was still angry that her niece hadn't believed her when her nana was right there. Penelope explained it was the shock of seeing her again, and that's why she legged it out a window. And her semi-sober aunt believed her.

Taking precautions, she had locked the door to her aunt's room and blocked it up the best she could from her side. She had an en suite, she would be okay.

Running down the stairs, her phone started to ring. Pulling it out, she answered without looking. Right now it would only be the Doctor and Rose.

"What's happening?"

"Miss Adaams, it's a shame I never heard back from you." The partly familiar voice made her slow to a stop in the middle of the front room. Was it the lady from the bench? Back when she was planning the funeral. Wasn't she from Torchwood?

"I remember you. The lady on the bench."

"Yvonne Hartman."

"Right, sorry, I don't do well with names, how can I help?"

"Well, we have your Doctor here, and his two companions, I'm a little upset you didn't make the trip. How's your aunt?"

"How-"

"Please, you're of interest to us, we're going to know where you are from when you arrive on planet until you leave. Now that's not important," it certainly was to Penelope and she resisted the urge to look around for cameras as the woman kept talking. "What is important is that Torchwood is sending a carrier to Leadworth, do try and be on the return trip. Everyone here is so eager to meet you."

"I don't understand."

"The big park at the end of the road, be there in 5." The line died and Penelope groaned, why do people keep closing the call without saying goodby. It's making her nervous. Hurrying out the house, she grabbed the house keys and locked it behind her.

She started to speed walk down the street. It was eerily quiet, it wasn't nice. She felt a horrible chill when she realised that the coldness from before had returned. Maybe she should've gotten the Doctor to pick her up.

There was a distant whirring and looking behind her, the plane - carrier, whatever she called it - was closing in on Leadworth a lot quicker than expected.

She started to race through the streets, not liking the thought of missing her ride after hearing how Yvonne sounded.

Luckily no one else was on the streets, and unlike when she first met the Doctor, she can run a lot further now. And much quicker. Which was great as she reached the park as the carrier did. Man in uniform threw open a side door and held a hand out to her as several other people in the same uniform got out. She took his hand and he hauled her with ease into the body of the plane. She watched as those uniformed people started to enter the residents homes. She turned to the man that helped her in as he closed the door and then placed a pair of headphones on her head.

She pulled down the little microphone to talk to him. "Hey! What are they doing?" He smiled at her calmly, which helped a little - and was something she assumed he was trained to do.

"Don't worry ma'am. The Doctor had said about how you were worried about the residents, so we're leaving some uniforms to watch over them. Just in case."

"Alright. And my aunt?"

"Got my best men looking after her ma'am."

"Thank you, uh-" she smiled sheepishly as he led her to the side of the aircraft, taking a seat and letting her strap herself in.

"Jasper, Agent Jamie Jasper. Been called JJ since I entered the academy, ma'am."

"Right then, Jasper, let's not keep Torchwood waiting any longer, shall we." He nods and moves towards where she thought the cockpit would be. She had told the Doctor to leave her here, but this is okay, he won't be distracted with her not being there.
