Aman looked at Roshni sitting beside him. She was looking out the window lost in her thoughts. He wondered what she was thinking about. An idea popped into his mind as a way of asking for forgiveness. He turned the car from where they were going and turned right. The sudden jerk brought Roshni back to the real world. She looked at him surprised as this was not the way to Junaid Manzil. 'Where are we going?' she asked. He just smiled and said 'you'll see'. 20 minutes later, Aman stopped the car. Roshni was bursting out of curiosity wondering where they were. Aman got out of the car and opened her door. She too got out and saw a place that looked somewhat like a mini-jungle. He took her hand and led her inside. A few minutes later they reached a small part of the woods. It had a stream and some big boulders to sit on. Roshni was surprised that Aman brought her there. 'Did you like it?' he asked. 'I come here sometimes when I feel sad or tired. I thought you'll like it'. She was touched by his thoughtful gesture and said 'I really love it. I didn't think you would go to places like this.' 'Should I be offended?' he questioned. 'I'm not as boring as you think.' 'So you know you're boring' and started laughing.

Although Aman felt annoyed at her calling him boring but melted at her laugh. For the first time he noticed how pretty and innocent she looked when she laughed. He said 'if you're done laughing do you want to know something?' She nodded while trying to control her mirth. He continued 'it is said that if someone throws a coin in this stream and makes a wish, their wish comes true.' 'Have your wishes come true as well Khanbaba'. 'I haven't wished for anything yet Roshni'. 'But why?' she inquired. 'I just never felt like I needed anything.' 'And today?' 'Today I feel like making a wish, do you?' She nodded her head again. He smiled and took out two coins from his pocket and gave her one. They closed their eyes and started making their wishes. 'I wish that Roshni will always be happy and keep smiling like this forever.' 'I wish that Khanbaba and his family always stay happy and one day accept me, if not as a daughter-in-law, then at least as a friend.' They threw their coins into the stream and beamed at each other. He sat down on one of the boulders and she did the same. He closed his eyes and breathed in some fresh air. A question which he was confused about since a long time came to his mind. 'Roshni'. 'hmm'. 'Do you know what love is?' She looked at him in surprise if he was actually the one who just asked her that question. She had thought of him as kind of boring, a workaholic and not interested in these types of things. In reality she even doubted whether he knew even the R of Romance. One of the only and main things she liked about him so far was his love for his family and of course his super cute eyes. Coming back to his question she answered 'love can be of many types Khanbaba. It can be what parents feel for their child, what two siblings feel for each other or what a couple feel for each other or else what friends feel for each other. If asked, chemically it is when your brain releases certain chemicals but I think it is more about what is in your heart. If your heart beats faster when the person you love is near you or touches you, if you feel butterflies in your stomach. To me love is when you can be happy with someone without having to change yourself even if you don't have any biological relationship with them, like me and my Ammi. She is not my real mother but I love her to the extent of which I don't know if I could have loved my birth mother as much as I love my Ammi.' Aman was shocked would be an understatement. Did he just hear that right? Did she really say that Salma wasn't her real mother. 'So Salma ji isn't your real mother?' 'No, she found me when I was a baby and raised me until now.' He felt another pang of guilt inside him. He had said that her mother's impure blood runs through her veins and now he just found out that they are not even biologically related. Before he could comprehend everything Roshni just said about love and her Ammi, the skies opened and it began raining. He wanted to find shelter and started looking around. However Roshni was doing the complete opposite. She was enjoying every second of being in the rain. She was so happy that she started dancing in the rain like a peacock.

Aman who was initially looking for a place for them to stay until the rains stops, gaped at Roshni instead. The rain had caused for her clothes to stick closely to her body and her hourglass figure was clearly visible. Her hair had drops of water dripping off its ends and he was completely mesmerised and lost looking at her that he failed to realise when she pulled his hands and made him join her. He somewhere envied the way she was able to just dance like this without a care in the world and completely enjoy herself in everything she does while he couldn't even do half of that. Nevertheless he too began dancing with her and after a while started to have fun. Sometime later he took her with him and they started looking for shelter as the rain wasn't stopping since so long. The soon reached a small hut and knocked on the door. An old woman opened the door and greeted them warmly. She called them in and gave them cups of tea. The woman allowed them to stay in one of her rooms for the night.
