Chapter 5

Anirudh kept his thoughts aside and went near Bondita and said, "ab niche aajao Bondita wo baba gaye." Bondita nodded a no. Before Anirudh could say something Bondita screamed in pain seeing that both Aahi and Anirudh rushed to her and saw blood coming out from her left hand, Aahi panicked and said, "boudi!! Ye kya hua aapko?" She picked up Bondita and they went to the nearest place, the staircase. Aahi kept her down and said, "main abhi first aid aur haldi wala dudh lati hu." Saying this she goes to bring the things.

Anirudh till then got a blanket seeing how much bondita was shivering, Aahi first came back with the first aid box then went back to make turmeric milk. Till then Anirudh says, "mujhe maaf kardo Bondita, main tumhara dard nahi samaj paya, tumhe kitna kuch seh na pad raha hai, tumhari maa yaha hoti toh turant jaa jati ki tumhe taklif ho rahi hai haina?" Bondita smiled and answered, "haan maa turant jaan jati." Anirudh sadly smiled at the answer and said, "aur maa yaha hoti toh kitni aache se paati laga te na tumhe?"

Bondita nodded and said, "haan meri maa toh ek khas tareke se paati kar te hai, aapko pata hai woh na mujhe gana gate paati kar te hai, toh mainra dhyan umke gane pe ho. Kya aap aisa kar sakte hai?" Anirudh answered, "tumhari maa jesa toh nahi ga sakta per ha ek cheez zaroor kar sakta hu. Tum tumhari aankhen band karo jaldi. Aur haan aakhe kholna mat, koi chalbazi nahi."

Bondita giggles and says, "are pati babu, wese bhi mujhe toh kano se sun na hai, mai aakhe nahi kholu gi." Anirudh said, "thik hai." and went to get his music player and played a song, and started to do her first aid. After a min the first aid was done.

Aahi comes back with turmeric milk and says "boudi ye lo aap ye pe lo, gharam hai dhayan se." Bondita nodded and took the glass. Anirudh awkwardly says, "woh, thank you, tumne Bondita ko bachaya. Aur ye kya? tumhe bhi chot lagi hai? kaise? Aao main tumhe bhi pati kar deta hu." Hearing this Aahi smiled and said, "thik hai thank you da-" She stopped in the middle knowing he might not like her calling him dada and sat down, and Anirudh started to apply medicine on Aahi's forehead.

After the medicine was applied Aahi said, "main ab chalti hu, aapna khal rakna boudi, aur abhi gharam dudh piya hai toh achi need aaye gi." Bondita smiled and said, "aap bhi apna khal rakna Aahi didi, aur dhanyavad mujhe woh baba se bachane." Aahi smiled and said, "are usme dhanyavad kaisa, aap meri boudi ho, maira farz hai aap ka khal rakna." Saying this she went to her room.

Seeing her go away Anirudh asked, "Aahi ne tume bachaya? kya huva tha?" Bondita then narrates him the whole thing. Anirudh nodded understanding and Bondita says, "birristara babu, main aap se ek baath puchu?" Anirudh says, "haan pucho na." Bondita asks, "Maine aap ki har ek baat maan ni hai na? meri samasya dur karne ke liye aapne jo bola main ne kiya na?" Anirudh nodded and Bondita continued, "toh kya main ek cheez kar sakte hu?" Anirudh looked at her and said, "dekho tum maa ke ghar jaane ke baat kar rahi ho toh-"

Bondita cuts him off saying, "nahi nahi main maa ke paas jaane ke baat nahi kar rahi hu, mujhe aapse ye khana hai ke main ek khas chikitsa ko jaan te hu kya mai umke paas jake ilaj kara sak te hu?" Anirudh gave her a questioning look and asked, "acha? Toh tum konse chikitsa ko jaan te ho?" Bondita hesitated before answering but said, "Aahi didi! Woh ek khas chikitsa hai, un hone mujhe bola ke woh meri samasya dur kar sakti hai."

Annoyed hearing this Anirudh said, "Maine tumhe mana kiya tha na usse baat karne ko toh tum kyun gayi uske paas?" Bondita puffed her cheeks and said, "are ye kya baat hui, mairi marze main kise sath baat karu, aur mujhe Aahi didi aachi lag te hai, toh main umse baat bhi karungi aur umke paas meri samasya dur karne bhi jaaugi. Maine aap ki haar baat mani hai, toh mujhe meri samasya ko dur karne ka ek mauka toh dijiye. Ya phir mujhe maa ke paas bhej dijiye."

Anirudh sighed and said, "ye kaisi zid hai Bondita, tumhe ek bar bola samaj nahi aata kya? Woh achi nahi hai, iss liye main tumhe usse dur rahe ne ko bol raha hu." Bondita angrily says, "aap aisa kyu bol rahe ho? Aahi didi ko toh chot bhi lege aaj, woh bhi mujhe bachane ke wajha se, agar woh buri hoti toh mujhe bachane aati? Kya meri samasya ko dur karne ki baat karti?"

Anirudh started to think, 'ye toh hai, Aahi ne Bondita ko bachaya, aur kya Aahi sach mai uski madad kar sakti hai?' Anirudh came to a decision and said, "thik hai, tum Aahi ke paas ja sakti ho, lekin ek shart par." Bondita looked at him and asked, "kya shart hai birristara babu?" Anirudh answered, "tumhare ilaj may main tumhare sath aauga, mujhe uspe bharosa nahi hai." Bondita smiled and said, "thik hai chalega, chalo Aahi didi ko bata ke aate hai."

Saying this Bondita got up and said, "are agar hum umke kamre mein jaa rahe hai, toh haldi wala dudh bhi le jaa te hai, umko bhi toh chot lagi hai na." Anirudh smiled at how Bondita thinks for others, knowing she is right he said, "sahi keh rahi ho Bondita, chalo jaldi, nahi toh wo soo jaye gi."

Bondita nodded and they went to the kitchen and both started making milk, while the milk was being heated Anirudh thought, 'kya main he Aahi ko galat samajh raha hu? Par umne toh mujhe bola tha ki usse ne maa ko- umne apni aakho se dekha ta, wo juth nahi bol sakte. Par kya Aahi ab change ho gayi hai? ya phir kya umko galat fehmi hui thi?" He came out of his thoughts when Bondita called him asking what he is thinking, he nodded a no saying it's nothing, taking the milk, they went to Aahi's room.

Bondita knocked on Aahi's door but Aahi didn't response so Anirudh said, "chalo Bondita wo soo gayi hogi, hum kal bhi toh-" Anirudh couldn't finish the sentence as the door opened, Bondita and Anirudh turned towards the door and say Aahi.

Seeing them Aahi said, "wo mai fresh ho rahi thi iss liye der ho gayi, aao na under." Bondita smiled and said, "ye main aapke liye haldi wala dudh lai hu, aap pe lijiye." Handing her the glass Anirudh and Bondita settled down. Aahi smiled and said, "are iski kya zaroorat thi? Aap ko abhi aaram kar na chahiye."

Bondita smiled and said, "are ye kya baat hui, kya main aap ko bina haldi wala dudh diye soone jaa sakti thi kya? Aur waise bhi hume kuch aur kaam bhi hai aapse." Aahi looked at her and said, "haan bolo na boudi kya huva?"
