traitor

You promised to keep me, to stay by my side,
that we would remain to the end.
You swore to my face you had nothing to hide,
I'd always have you as my friend.

If rumors were fire, and words were like knives,
you'd fill the devil with pride.
I gasped in the poisonous smoke of your lies—
but to your disappointment—survived.

Don't you dare say that I broke your heart,
and left it in pieces all scattered.
Tell me, where were you when it all fell apart?
Where were you when it actually mattered?

- traitor.
