EPISODE 4

KATE'S POV...
I left Steve lying on the floor calling my name, but i had to turn deaf ears to his pleas. I quickly  took a cab to the hostel. My mind was racing and beating so fast. That code only comes up when ever there is an emergency needed to be dealt with.
"What could be the emergency? Why would Mars call on us suddenly?" I kept on asking myself while in the cab. I sighed deeply as i leaned on the seat and closed my eyes for a while. "Or have they found out about Steve and I?” The thought stroke my mind as I began sweating seriously. Different thoughts going through my mind on how to defend myself. "Let's do this Kate!” I said to myself as i entered the house.
I met them all sitting with a serious expressions on their faces. Mars was sitting with her head locked between her thighs. I slowly walked to my bed and sit, looking so suspicious. I summoned up courage and opened mouth. "What happened ladies?” I asked stuttering. Yesmin looked at me which makes me freak out. She streched out her hands and offered me a paper. "Someone sent this letter." She said handing me over the paper. I collected the paper with my hands obviously shaking. "What could that be?" I asked myself as i slowly opened the paper. "I AM YOUR FUTURE!”... That's what was clearly written on the paper.
I was totally confused as i raised my head and looked at Mars. "Who is this for?” I asked curiously. She sighed deeply and adjusted herself. "I don't know who this letter is meant for, neither do i know who sent it. The person that delivered it didn't say a word. But i am sure this letter is from a lady trying to tell us to stay away from her man." Mars explained looking serious.
I felt haunted immediately. "Should that letter be for me? Is it from Steve's girl?” I asked myself curiously. Mars sighed again and stood up. "You don't have to worry girls. As long as we are not engaged in anything serious with any man, this letter shouldn't worry us." She said as she picked up the letter and tear it into pieces. "I hope we are still abiding by the rules?” She asked, this time looking at me specifically, as if she knew i was up to something. We all nodded our heads with a smile. "Anyways, lets not worry about this and focus about tomorrow." She said sitting back on her bed.
I became confused again. "What will happen tomorrow?” I asked curiously. "Where have you been Kate? How can you be so careless?” Yesmin asked looking at me. "We haven't talked why you disappear all day." She added looking at me. I started stuttering immediately trying to bring up words but nothing was coming out of my mouth. "We have been waiting here for you, have you forgotten what today is?" Jenny asked looking at me. I was dumped for a while trying to recall the occasion because i was totally dumb. "It's Mars's birthday tomorrow bitch." She said hitting my head. I sighed deeply in relief as i leaned on the wall. "Thank God its not about Steve." I murmured. I was so freaked out and afraid. Hopefully it wasn't what i thought.
"What do you think we should do then? You know i don't like anything loud right?" Mars asked as she adjusted her self on her bed.
For the past four years i have known Mars, she never celebrates her birthday, just hanging out at orphanages and dinner together with us. "I think we should do the usual." Yesmin chipped in. I moved closer to the edge of the bed. "Yeah i think we should do the usual too." I said looking at them. We concluded on visiting the orphanage and also hanging out...
MARS'S POV...
We woke up very early and got ready for our orphanage visitation. I have already prepared for that as i have ordered a couple of children wears, food stuffs, reading materials and snacks for the kids. We arrived the orphanage and share the stuffs among the kids. They were so happy and enjoyed our visit too. After what seems like forever of fun with the children, we decided to get back home and get ready for our hangout since its getting late already.
"Where are you going?" Jenny asked as we were getting ready. I adjusted my wrist watch and turned to them. "I have already made reservations in Ocean City Hotel." I replied looking at them. Kate was awed as she starred at me. "Bitch that place is fucking expensive." She said still looking surprised. Yesmin quickly run to her wardrobe. "I need to change a dress. This won't match such place." She said as she begin going through her expensive wears. "Y'all should get ready to suffocate the media today." I said and we all laughed.
We arrived the hotel and head straight to our vip table in their luxury restaurant. You can tell from a single look that this place is not meant for broke ass bitches. Rich people wearing expensive stuffs in all angles. Well, trust me and my girls, we will never disappoint. We became the sight of attraction as we walked in. We all place our expensive orders and begin dining.
Money is not a problem at this stage of our lives. Especially to me. I have alot of rich guys and men asking me out, some want to get married to me. They are all willing to spend their last cash on me. So i am always in pool of money. I guess its not easy to be extra ordinary beautiful.
I am a fully fulani girl, from the northern part of Nigeria, Adamawa precisely. Extremely fair in complexion with a glowing skin and round eyes. My hair is black, silky and long so i dont use wigs. This beautiful scenery of mine makes me the most dangerous in my squad. I am just not in for men due to my personal reason which no one knows, but when i feel it's right time to share, I will do that.
"Hey Mars, hope you won't be angry at what i did?" Yesmin asked looking suspicious. I already knows her to be stubborn and can also break rules. "What have you done bitch?" I asked curiously. She begin stammering. "Okay! Alex has been on my neck about your birthday. So i told him were we are celebrating. I am sorry though." She said with a pitiful face and teary eyes. I starred at her for a while. I already knows that she would definitely tell him because i have seen him drop her off from school. "Okay. It's fine." I said looking at her. She smiled and sip her drink. "I was freaked out seriously." She said and we all laughed.
The lights in the restaurant suddenly went off and a dim blue and red light replaced it. "What the heck is going on?” Kate asked furiously. We heard sounds of drums singing a birthday song. We all turned to the hall way. It's Alex and his friends, coming over with a large cake. "I seriously don't know why this guy keeps insisting even when i clearly told him off." I said as we watched them approached us. The people in the restaurant were clapping.
"Happy birthday Mars. Wish you all the happiness you deserve." He said handing me over the cake. I smiled and blew off the candle. "Thank you Alex." I said with a smile. The lights restored and we continued merrying.
We were still partying and enjoying ourselves with the guys when i suddenly feel pressed. I slowly excused myself and head to the restroom. I was feeling dizzy already because I was getting drunk. I finished using the restroom and came out to wash my hands. As i raised my head to the mirror in front of me. I saw a lady, in her late 30s probably, looking so derenched and awkward. I was seriously freaked out because it's a surprise how she got into this hotel. She is obviously looking like a mad woman. She moved closer to me with a smile. She stared at me still smiling before tears started rolling on her face. "I AM YOUR FUTURE!" She said laughing so hard. I was afraid and freaked out as i closed my eyes and screamed. My pointed sharp voice brought the attention of everyone in the restaurant to the restroom. Yesmin and Jenny quickly rushed to me. "What is wrong with you Mars?" They kept on asking. I was sweating seriously as i kept stretching my neck trying to find the lady. I saw her at the exit smiling at me again. I pointed at the place but before everyone could noticed, she had disappeared. I screamed and fainted instantly...
