Rylie’s P.O.V.

I walked into school the next day thinking about what Anna had recently told Abby and I. I wonder if she told the others. The up side to this is that I can taunt her about it now because, well, I can. Anna is going to have a tough time trying to avoid Harry because we have gym together. Well we’ll see what happens.

I walked to my locker and dropped my things off before walking down to the gym for A Block. Anna called my name from behind.

“Rylie, wait up!”

“Hey, Anna, did you talk to the other girls yet?” I questioned.

“Yeah, I did. I mean, they are my friends to and they have a right to know. I texted the all last night and told them not to make a big deal about it. They said they will try not to, but I think they might, see that all of us, plus all of the other boys have gym class together.” she said.

Anna and I walked into the locker room and changed. Shania, Abby, and Ally were already waiting out in the bleachers when we got there.

“Hey, Anna, guess what?” Ally said with a smirk.

“What?”

“We are going to be playing volleyball and we need to be in groups of ten.” Shania said.

“There really should be six on either side of the court but it is the only way we could split it evenly because there are twenty of us--”

“Any way,” Shania interrupted Ally, “Ms. Raff assigned us in groups and all five of us were put together but guess who else is a team?”

“No, no you’re joking right, you’ve got to be kidding?” Anna said with worry. Shania shook her head and laughed then showed Anna the list.

“Fuck! Why me?!”

Just then, the new boys walked into the gym and Harry came up to Anna who was holding the list.

“Hey, Anna,” he said shyly, “can I, um, can I see the list?” she handed him the list without making eye contact.

“Oh, I see that we are on a team together, well opposing teams.” He said with a small smile.

“Harry, can I talk to you for a minute?” and she pulled him into the corner.

“Harry, I’m sorry I didn’t answer your question yesterday, it’s just that with lacrosse and school work, I, um, don’t have time for a boyfriend. I’m so sorry, I do like you, but right now I think we should just be friends.” Anna said holding his shoulder.

“It’s okay, as long as we can be friends.” Harry said.

Anna and Harry walked back over to where we were standing and Harry called over all of his friend’s.

“Well, since you guys already know who I am, you should meet my friends. Hey guys come here.”

The boys jogged over here and stood in front of us.

“This is Liam,”

“Hey guys, well girls, hey Rylie.” Liam said to me and I blushed.

“My boy Louis,”

“Hello, I’m Louis, so which one of you likes carrots?”

“That would be Ally.” I said and pointed to her while Louis smiled.

“Zayn,”

“I know I look Mexican or Chinese or what eve but I’m Pakistani.”

“Hey, me to!” said Shania

“and finally, Niall.”

“Hey gals--”

“Oh my god, you’re Irish!” Abby cut him off.

“Yes I am, and how about you, are you Irish?”

“I’m Polish but its close.” Abby said and Niall chuckled.

“Well, it’s nice to meet you guys, and I’m Rylie, this is Anna, Shania, Abby and Ally. So who’s ready to play some volleyball, and I’m just going to warn you, Abby, Shania, and Ally are on the Volleyball team and can beat your ass off.” I said.

“Okay everyone,” Ms. Raff said, “now that you know your teams, get on your half of one of the two courts.”

My group walked over to the left side of the gym and split so it was boy’s vs. girls. I’m not going to get into full detail of ha happened because that would take to long but no one got hut this time. We had the volleyball unit for about two weeks and after that the ten of us grew closer. We started going Abby, Shania, and Ally’s volleyball games and they all came to Anna and mine’s lacrosse games. Our lunch table went from five to ten and everything just became funnier with the boys around. Life just became fun.
