Rose Everly loved Riff Lorton. Having admitted it to the boy, she get more confident within herself, especially when she was with him.

More and more time was spent beside Riff, and Rose wouldn't have had it any other way. Though he still tried to keep her away from the gang life, reality was starting to set in. Sooner or later, she'd get really hurt: the last time was a close call.

It didn't matter what was going on anywhere else when it was the two of them, though. When they spent the whole day walking, and talking, it was just them. When they found themselves back at Rose's apartment, they were glad that they were together. They were glad that it was only them.

As they sat on the sofa together, Rose leaning into Riff's side, she sighed in contentment. Six months ago, she never would've imagined life to be this way. She never would've imagined herself to be enjoying the company of the leader of the Jets.

But there she was, laughing with him in her home. How life could be so... so weird sometimes.

Around the time that Riff gave Rose her thirtieth kiss in ten minutes, she decided to say something a little different. Where everything was airy before, she made it lightly serious. Not on purpose, but, she wanted to say something. That meant the tone had to change.

"I want you to meet my brothers."

"What?" Riff was confused by the prospect. Meeting someone's family? He'd never done that before. Especially when him and Rose weren't technically together. Yes, she'd said I love you, but that was something new too.

"I want you to meet my brothers."

  "Why?"

"Because I've known you six months, and six months is a very long time." Rose replied.

"Six months is a long time." Riff agreed softly, placing another kiss onto the girls lips. His hand caressed her cheek as he leaned down into the beautiful passion between them.

"Just because six months is a long time," Rose breathed. "Doesn't mean I want to..."

"I understand." Riff nodded. He didn't want to take her... her virtue yet. Not if she wasn't ready. "Whatever you want."
