"And all of these moments

Just might find their way into my dreams tonight"

"Hey, Jungkook. Are you free this evening? I was wondering if we could get together."

"Hi, Kook. How have you been? Do you want to go somewhere together after work?"

"Look, I want to spend time with you because you're cute. Please don't refuse."

Taehyung had a hard time coming up with the exact thing he wanted to say to the college student. He didn't want to be too forward or too nonchalant about it, so he settled for in between with his final idea. It was the best out of all of them. He knew Jungkook wouldn't refuse, yet he was still nervous.

It had been almost a week since his panic attack, a week since Jungkook came to comfort him. He hadn't had one in the past several days. His nerves were still all over the place, the only thing calming them was a few cigarettes, but it was better than before. Every pack he smoked lasted a bit longer.

The bakery was already letting in dozens of customers. The line to the register was huge. Out of the crowd, Taehyung spotted the familiar brown hair of Jungkook behind the display case. His clothes were already covered in flour, skin glowing with a thin layer of sweat. The redhead stepped out of line and went over to the case, standing on his toes to look over the glass.

"Hey, angel." he grinned, startling the boy.

"Oh, hi Tae! What are you doing here?"

Taehyung kicked at an imaginary stone, having a really hard time looking Jungkook in the eye. He did so anyway, pushing down his nervousness.

"I heard about there being a car show tonight on one of the main roads to the city. I thought I'd ask you if you wanted to go with me."

Jungkook's head tilted to the side. "Go with you...like on a date?"

Taehyung smiled a bit, "You could say that."

"Then yes, I'd love to."

It was only an hour until Jungkook had to meet up with Taehyung. The boy stood in front of his closet, anxiety sinking into his stomach. Tucked away in the corner were band new clothes, some still with tags on them. He bought them recently when he went shopping in the busy center of the city. A sigh left his lips as he started tapping his foot, clearly irritated.

He wanted to wear them. He truly wanted to. What was stopping him? Himself.

Jungkook never realized how unconfident he had become. It's what kept him from wearing any of it in public, kept the ripped pairs of skinny jeans and pastel tops and shorts in the corner of his closet. He was scared people would stare too much.

Jungkook pulled a few hangers off of the rack, examining the barely worn pieces of clothing. He picked out one and set the others on his bed. It was a light pink shirt cropped short at the stomach with a little rose stitched in the chest. He faced the mirror hanging on the back of his bedroom door, holding it up to his chest. A smile appeared on his face, one that looked exactly like the one he smiled the day he bought it.

"I think Tae would like this," he thought.

He turned his head to look back at his closet. Tonight would be the perfect night to start wearing some of his new things. All because Taehyung would be there to see it.
