"Oh, my life is changing everyday

In every possible way"

Jungkook continued to text Kim over the next four days. The times he did put him in a better mood. With each text he sent, he grew more and more curious but refrained from asking him about meeting in person. He learned his lesson.

The boy had already put many hours of thought into who Kim might be. Oddly enough, his first suspect was the redhead florist Taehyung. It was possible that he gave them the flowers now in a nice vase on his kitchen table a week ago. The more he thought about it as his fingers tapped away at the keyboard on his phone, his messages sent directly to the semi-anonymous admirer, the more he deemed it a possibility.

Jungkook didn't know Taehyung's surname. It could be Kim. And the day after Jungkook texted Kim, Taehyung didn't come to the bakery. He went to the coffee shop across the street, courtesy of Seokjin telling him. The flowers Kim gave him had to be from Taehyung's shop too. He was the only florist in the outskirts. The ribbon even offered a clue. When the boy passed by the store window, the pastel vases were decorated with the same purple ribbon that was tied around his bouquet. They were all solid points. Points that may tell Jungkook who Kim is.

But maybe it wasn't Taehyung.

Kim might not be the redhead's surname. Kim might have gone to the flower shop and bought the flowers he received from Taehyung. And Taehyung might have skipped his visits because he simply got tired of the regulars giving him funny looks or Jungkook starting conversation with him. He didn't want to rule Taehyung out, but it could be someone else.

The bakery wasn't too busy when it first opened its doors. It never welcomed many customers until noon, so Jungkook busied himself with putting out the freshly iced cakes and muffins in the display window by the register. Hoseok and Jimin helped him clean the tables and the floor. When the first few hours of his shift were over, every table in the room was occupied. Loud chatter filled up the space until five, the time the bakery closed.

Jungkook flipped the sign on the door and strolled around the room, sweeping crumbs off of the black and white tiled floor, sunlight streaming through the windows like gentle waves. He started humming the chorus to a pop song that had played on the radio earlier as the broom spun across the floor. Jimin was putting away menus and Hoseok was lounging at one of the tables snapping Yoongi, another one of their friends that worked at the coffee shop.

"It was a pretty hectic day," the orange haired boy said out of the blue, "I'm beat."

"Me too," Jimin replied rather tiredly, "Not so sure about Kook, though."

Jungkook looked up and rolled his eyes as the blond smiled teasingly. He swept up the last bits of debris and put the broom and his apron in the back. He stood next to Jimin, ruffling his bangs and brushing the wrinkles out of his shirt.

It was quiet except for the hum of the air conditioner that had been turned on as soon as warm weather hit. The two boys laughed to themselves when they saw Hoseok take a selfie of him puckering his lips like a fish.

"Don't tell me you're sending that to Yoongi-Hyung." Jimin giggled, hiding his smile with his hand.

"He'll save it, trust me." was the confident response.

"Yeah, you're right, he saves all of those stupid snaps you send him. You're his favorite."

"Dream on, Chim. All he sends me are wall pics."

"That's a sign of love, idiot."

Jungkook was so busy listening to the two argue that he almost didn't feel the humming vibrate of his phone in his back pocket.
