"I'll just keep on making the same mistakes
Hoping that you'll understand"

Just as the sun peeked over the tops of buildings, the bakery opened its doors. People filed in just as three boys finished setting up the inside of the shop. The inside was spacious, light pink walls covered in signs and pictures. The counter was polished. Warm chocolate muffins, creme-filled donuts, and red velvet cakes sat behind the display window, fogging up the glass. The lights didn't need to be on; the whole bakery was lit up with morning sunlight. The early customers entered into a warm atmosphere where the employees were all smiles.
Jungkook's happy expression never faltered that morning. He hadn't been in a mood like this in a while. It was more surprising to Jimin and Hoseok than it was to him. They watched him going through the usual morning routine when prepping the shop for when it opened with their brows raised.
The brown-haired boy's eyes landed on the tables. There was a white or pink rose on each one, placed in old cups found in the back of the bakery. Whichever ones were left were sitting at the register where Jungkook was standing.
Taehyung was the one who gave them to him yesterday. The boy ran through the memories of last evening. Both of them had been nervous, the redhead more physically so. He kept tapping his foot and looked off to the side during their conversation but eventually stopped doing both once he realized that he didn't have to. Jungkook carried the conversation all the way to the end. The boy couldn't stay for long, only a couple of hours. The flowers were a gift to him before he left.
Jungkook didn't even notice Hoseok standing next to him until he cleared his throat right by his ear. The boy jumped back as the orange-haired boy laughed.
"You're really energetic today."
Jungkook nodded, biting back a giddy smile, "Someone gave me flowers."
"These flowers?" Hoseok asked, to which Jungkook nodded.
"You won't believe it, but they're from the florist. He asked me to meet up with him yesterday and gave me them."
As soon as Jungkook answered his friend, he wished he could take it back. Hoseok's expression turned solemn, eyes narrowing slightly. He knew how he felt about the situation. His opinion was the same as everyone else's.
"So that's where you sped off to."
"I know what you're going to say, Hobi." he murmured softly, trying to keep irritation out of his voice.
"I'm sure you do, but still. You should be careful around people like that." Hoseok replied sternly, giving him 'the look'.
'The look' was his way of saying he was serious. He used it a lot when he tried to mother Jungkook too much on unimportant things. Hoseok was Jungkook's best friend, but he was growing tired of the way he talked to him like he was a kid. He was an adult. He was aware of what was best for himself.
A long sigh left Jungkook's lips. He turned his back to Hoseok and busied himself by grabbing menus. His stare was too much for him right now; boredom, lack of adventure, restlessness, all of them turned his bright mood sour. He didn't want to feel that way toward Hoseok, the person he's known the longest out of all his friends. But it couldn't be helped.
"I know plenty. I got to talk with him before we met and he's a nice person." he spoke over his shoulder.
"I'm not saying he isn't nice, Kook. He could be hiding something from you. He could have other intentions from what you believe to be true."
