"Our time is short

This is our fate, I'm yours"

The stars seemed to glow extra bright that Saturday, making it the perfect night to go out. Two boys thought it was indeed so. Jungkook and Taehyung walked down the sidewalk, hand in hand, heading to the coffee shop where their date had been planned only a short day ago.

Jungkook didn't feel as nervous as he did when they went out the first time. Per Taehyung's request as well as his own desire to wear his new clothes, he had been wearing some of his new shirts and jeans on normal days. His friends thought he looked great in everything, even Hoseok. The orange-haired boy had smiled when he saw him being so happy. And he was happy. Extremely happy. He was still working things out, but his mood was as bright as ever.

It wasn't a formal date, so he just put on a pair of pants that wasn't covered in flour and a shirt that wasn't white. There was a bit of lip gloss on his lips even. He felt pretty walking around so carelessly with the redhead at his side.

"Why are you smiling like that?" Taehyung asked suddenly, scaring Jungkook, who was in his own world at the moment.

"Me? Oh, I'm just excited for our date." the boy replied, a little skip in his step. He grabbed Taehyung's hand and spun around the sidewalk, laughing when he got him to smile.

The rest of the walk was quiet. Jungkook looked up. There were several big stars scattered across the ink-colored sky. A light breeze washed by, lifting up his hair. He didn't know it, but Taehyung stole a glance every now and then. How lucky he was to have such a great person in his life.

At last, they were there. The coffee shop was an easy shop to pick out. It was the only one that had its lights on; the rest of the stores had already closed. There were a couple of people sitting around sipping coffees under the warm yellow lights. The left corner near the door was cleared out, and a small speaker with a microphone was set up under a light. Just as planned, the other five boys were chatting away at the front. Jimin, Seokjin, Namjoon, Hoseok, and Yoongi, all of them turned when Jungkook and Taehyung came in.

"Hey, guys," Namjoon smiled as the two sat down on stools next to them, "It's been a little while. I take it you're here for my karaoke machine."

"We are," Jungkook said, sending a smile Taehyung's way, "I'm sure all of us need the fun."

Jimin nodded in agreement, taking a long sip of his drink. "I know I do."

"You drink that like it's beer." Taehyung shook his head.

The blonde just glanced at him, a little smile tugging at his mouth. "That's because it is." he took another swig. "Trust me, I need it. If I see another muffin, I'm gonna lose it."

The others chuckled except for Yoongi. He reached for something under the counter and pulled out a little white bag with a familiar purple and pink logo on it. Jimin stared at it for a second before whispering curses under his breath. Yoongi smirked and pulled out a blueberry muffin.

"I couldn't help myself." was all he said for the rest of the boys to start cackling like mad dogs. Jimin groaned, putting his head in his hands.

After they had all calmed down, which took a bit longer than planned, and the shop was quiet and peaceful again, the three boys who were still on their shifts offered to make the rest of them some coffee. It was what they did best, after all. Jimin and Hoseok got individual cups while Taehyung and Jungkook decided to share a caramel mocha. They put two little striped straws in the drink and sat with their heads in their hands watching each other as they took sips at the same time. Everyone else tried not to interrupt the moment but found it hard. They were extremely cute together.
