A few days passed, and Andrés felt increasing weakness in his muscles and was more fatigued than usual. One night, Martín noticed that Andrés was trembling while reaching for the salt. Unable to take it anymore, he stood up and exclaimed, "We need to see a doctor NOW!"

Andrés froze, staring at Martín. He began to giggle and replied, "Martín, come on! I don't need to see a doctor. I'm just tired from all the heists I've been doing. Now, would you please pass the pepper? I can't reach it."

"You've been tired for the past two months; you should be fine by now," Martín said in an arrogant tone

"You've been tired for the past two months; you should be fine by now," Martín said in an arrogant tone.

"Oh, please, gimme a brea—" Before Andrés could finish his sentence, he felt a twitching sensation in his left abdomen. The twitching quickly escalated into agonizing pain. He clenched his teeth and grunted.

Martín started to get up, but Andrés raised his hand, trying to convince him that he was fine. As he attempted to stand, he collapsed to the ground. The twitching intensified, and Andrés curled up in a ball, panting. His vision blurred, and the room began to spin in slow motion. He could see Martín screaming, but the sound felt distant.

Andrés was losing consciousness, and then everything went black. A few moments later, he opened his eyes to find himself in an ambulance before blacking out again.

When Andrés woke up, he found himself in a hospital bed. Turning his head, he saw Martín sleeping beside him. As he shifted his gaze, the door opened, and the doctor walked in.

"Ah, good! You're awake!" the doctor said. "I must say, Sr. De Fonollosa, the examination of your skin and some blood tests have not provided conclusive results, so you will need to undergo more tests." Andrés gulped and nodded.

For the next three days, the doctor assessed his reflexes, muscle strength, balance, and sensation. He also took a detailed medical history of Andrés's family. Pulling out a notepad, he asked, "Sr. De Fonollosa, do you know anything about your family's medical history?"

"Yes," Andrés replied.

The doctor looked down, writing in his notepad. "Would you care to give me a little more detail?" he asked without lifting his head.
