"Study well and take care of yourself. Okay?", Ye-ji spoke as she pecked her daughter's forehead.
"I will and you, too, careful and don't get hurt. Okay?", Eva spoke, holding her mother's hands who was dressed in dark blue, police uniform.
"I will, don't worry.", She answered, knowing that her daughter would be worried for her, considering the fact that her job was full of dangers but still, it was adventurous and honourable.
"Okay, now that's enough. School is waiting for you. We are standing on the footpath for a bit too long.", Ye-ji laughed softly as she patted Eva's back and motioned towards the school building in front of them.
Eva smiled as she nodded. Ye-ji smiled back as she patted her cheek lovingly before taking a few steps back. Waving her hand, she turned around, ready to jog towards her bike, however, she stopped when she felt a soft grip on her wrist.
Frowning slightly, she turned around only to stumble back a bit when her little girl, crashed into her embrace, hugging her ever so tightly.
Maintaining her balance, she hugged her back.
"Hey... What's up with you? Why so emotional?", Ye-ji questioned softly when the girl placed her forehead on her shoulder and closed her eyes with a soft sigh.
"Mom..."
"What's wrong?"
"Yesterday... I saw a news that the infamous mob JJK is currently in our city and... There are chances that you might encounter him 'cause of your job"
Ye-ji's heart stopped on hearing her words. JJK? Did she know about that mob? No... She didn't want her to know about it. She didn't want her to know about him just yet.
She gulped the lump of guilt in her throat when she saw her daughter staring at her with a worried gaze. She was worried for her, when in reality her mom.... Ye-ji meekly heaved out a shaky breath before composing her demeanour.
Smiling softly, she answered,
"You don't have to worry. It's a part of my job. We have to face several such mobs, mafias, criminals and whatnot. It's not a big deal."
