Setting : Dusk Jeon Residence
"Mom...", The nine-year-old called softly, trudging towards his mom.
"Yes, Jihyun?", She answered, diverting her gaze from the floor to the boy, forcing a smile, no twinkle of happiness appearing in her eyes. Patting the place on the couch beside her, she gestured him to sit which the boy did.
Climbing on it, he sat near his mother, hugging her from the side, as he rested his head on her shoulder.
"You wanna watch T.V.?", The lady asked, switching the news channel to a cartoon one, some goofy sound effects filled the silent hall as the light from the television illuminated the otherwise dark room.
The little girl sitting on the other side of her mother opened her eyes on hearing the familiar voices from the cartoons as a wide smile stretched on her lips.
"Momma, Tom and jelly! So cute!", She smiled, pointing at the animated cat and mouse playing around on the television screen.
"Yeah, baby. So cute.", She smiled which did not reach her ears as she ruffled her hair before turning her head towards Jihyun again.
