The pitter-patter of the precipitation produced a soft, drumming sound as the droplets of the crystal liquid hit the windows and slanting roofs of the houses.
Strong wind shook up the trees, mocking the weak ones to uproot them while the larger ones rattled with the noise created by the heaven hitting their wet leaves as they swayed gently in the mild storm.
A distant thunder rumbled through the sky, occassionally lighting it up with the electric charge.
In contrast to the cool atmosphere outside, in Ye-ji Kim's residence, darkness loomed about in the hall with blue LED light strips tracing the perimeter of the ceiling. A cozy environment created in the place.
The Kim mother and son duo were cuddled up to each other on the couch with a big, warm and fluffy blanket around them. They were as cozy as snug as a bug in a rug.
Curling up in his mother's lap, with sleepy eyes fixed on the television screen, the three-year-old, clad in baby blue night suit, yawned, his warm breath hitting his mother's neck as he snuggled into her.
The mother had her arms around the boy's tiny body wrapped up in his blankie as she kept him close to her chest whilst her eyes were fixed on the television screen.
"Mommy?", The boy asked, softly patting her thigh with his tiny, chubby hand.
"Hm?", She hummed non-chalantly.
"You cold? Hyunie give you blankie", he spoke, concerned eyes staring at his mother that she might be cold in her black crop top and denim shorts in such a weather. He removed the blanket from himself before straightening it and covering Ye-ji from her toes to her waist, covering himself, too, in the process.
The woman chuckled, brushing back his dark brown bangs before pulling his cheeks.
"Mommy is a vampire, baby. I don't feel cold but this was really sweet of you. My baby is such a gentleman", she spoke, staring at him lovingly, taking pride in raising him that way. She was raising him right and she knew it.
"Vampie also feel cold. Hyunie p'otect mommy", the boy replied making her laugh.
"Okay. Fine. That's like a good boy. Now, let's go back to watching the k-drama. Hm?", She spoke, patting his cheek but frowned when the boy shook his head.
"Why? What's wrong?"
"Mommy eyes red and fangs", he spoke, pointing at her face.
