"Dada!"
"Yes, bubs?", Jungkook answered softly as he diverted his gaze from the phone in his hand to his tiny toddler sitting in his lap, now staring at him with big, black eyes and a tiny pout on her lips.
Frowning, Jungkook kept his phone aside before cupping his daughter's face.
"What's wrong? Why so sad?", He spoke softly while caressing her chubby cheek with his thumb.
With the pout still visible on her face, Eva stood up on her feet. Standing on his thighs, she held his shoulders for support. Out of instinct, he placed his hands on either side of her tiny waist with a frown still visible on his face.
"What happened to my baby? Why are you sad?", He asked again, as he pulled her closer, holding her securely.
"Dada, me miss momma", Eva spoke as she puckered her lower lip even more with eyes, now starting to glisten with the salty liquid.
A sigh escaped Jungkook's lips before he wrapped one arm around her waist and placed the other hand behind the back of her head. Leaning forward, he placed a soft kiss on the tip of her nose before speaking,
"Love, your momma has gone to her dad and mom's place. She, too, misses them, you know?"
"Momma also have momma and dada?", Eva asked with a gasp as she covered her mouth with her palms.
Jungkook laughed softly on hearing her words before nodding his head,
"Yes, bud."
"Sho, momma is her own momma and you are also momma's dada?", She asked with a frown making Jungkook press his lips in a thin line. Kids ask the weirdest questions, no doubt. She thought that if Ye-ji was her mom then Ye-ji was her own mom as well and since, Jungkook was her dad then he was Ye-ji's dad as well.
"No, cookie. Mom has her own different mom and dad. She misses them so she has gone to pay them a visit."
Hearing this, Eva's lips puckered out in a pout as a thin layer of tears started sparkling over her eyes again.
"B..But... Momma don't miss baby...", She shook her head with each word.
Jungkook sighed on seeing the over-emotional baby before bringing her closer to his chest. She definitely got this over-emotional side from him. Hugging her tightly and keeping her close, he stood up from the couch. Patting her back with one hand, he placed soft and light kisses on her head as he cooed,
"No, cutie pie. It's not like that. See, if baby Eva needs her mom and dad then your mom also needs her mom and dad, right?"
"B..but.. how could...momma leave baby with dirty boogey man?", Eva sniffled as she hit his chest with her chubby hand.
