Chapter 2 : Contract Negotiations

Savannah have spent the entire night weighing the pros and cons of Lucas's offer, and now it's time to face him. She stand in front of her wardrobe wondering what she sould wear for the meeting with Lucas. She thinks :"Now what here says i'm a confident lawyer?" She get dressed and ready for the meeting that gonna change her life forever. She check the time and realize she's running late! "Oh! i better not be late for this meeting."

Savannah reaches the office just in time. She've woman-ed up and is ready to give Lucas her answer. 

she saw Stacy :"Hey Stacy. What's up?"

-"Where do you think you're going?"

-"i have to talk to Lucas."

-"Lucas?"

-"Oh...ummm... I mean Mr. Madison."

-"Suddenly he's Lucas to you?"

-"It's new business tactic."

-"Calling your boss by his first name?"

-"Yeah. I read it in Businesswoman Quarterly."

-"Okay..."

-"I should go."

She leaves a confused looking Stacy behind and enter Lucas's cabin, after knocking :"Good morning...Lucas!"

-"i'm glad you're getting comfortable with calling me that.I also hope this means you have good news."

she takes a moment to compose herself and speaks up :" i've agreed to your terms.I will pretend to be your date to the wedding for ten thousand dollars."

-"wonderful!"

-"But i have some conditions too."

-"i expect nothing less. Please have a seat."

-"I've taken the liberty of drafting a relationship agreement." She hands Lucas the document she drew up the night before. 

He says :"This is...extensive."

-"I did include a clause that covers evacuation during disasters and emergency hospitalization."

-"This is impressive." Lucas reads through the document quickly. "I like that you've composed a backstory for us."

-"Yes. For all intents and purposes, we met at a company function."

-"It's a good story."

-"Yeah. It's...We can say we met at a Christmas party. And i was standing under the mistletoe or something."

-"Ahem...You sure?"

-"Okay i went a bit overboard there..."

-"Is that everything you wanted to talk about?"

-"i think so."

Lucas signs his name at the bottom of the document. He said:"You have an appointment at Tres Magnifique salon in the morning. They will take care of everything."

-"I'm going to help you get through this wedding, Lucas . i promise."

-"Thank you."

Savannah have had her hair and makeup done and is ready to choose an outfit.

-Stylist:"We've got every major designer here.And everything from the latest season. Let me show you a few options." She show Sav some styles, she finally choose the perfect one , the one that fit her : a long shiny red dress with diamond earings, bracelets and neckless, with red shiny heels.

-Stylist : "Nice choice!"

-"Thanks!"

Savannah met Lucas at the church. A few heads turn as Lucas takes your hand and leads her inside.

Sav:"They're staring at us."

-"I know. No one expected me to attend this wedding."
-"Then why did you?"
-"Pride. i can't let anyone think i'm not over Zia."

As the two of them take their seats, she can't help hearing the whispers.
-"Are they talking about us?"
-"Yes. Want to give them something to really talk about?"
-"What?"
-"Let me kiss you."
-"Okay...Make it quick!"

Lucas leans in and kisses Savannah on her lips.
She thinks :"Wow. That was...HOT."

The church organ starts to play. The flower girl elegantly walks down the aisle.
He says:"Here she comes."
Finally, Sav gets to see this woman in the flesh. The woman who broke Lucas's heart.
