I didn't know if I should be relieved or even more pissed off. My emotions were warring inside me once again and I just wanted to hide in bed and cry them all out. I wasn't even sure what I was mad at anymore. I wanted to punch Striker for putting himself in a compromising situation, punch myself for letting a guy have such control over my emotions, and I wanted to kiss him.
Seeing my reaction, Striker got off the couch and came over to envelop me in a tight hug. Leaning my head against his shoulder, I murmured, "I didn't know."
"I know, darlin'," Striker replied softly, "Did you honestly think I would do that to you?"
I pulled back to look him in the eye as I said truthfully, "I don't know...I mean, we were never exclusive or anything like that..."
Striker actually laughed, "What kind of man do you take me for, darlin'?"
"So....what?" I was now very confused, "Are you saying we're exclusive?"
Striker bent his head and kissed me long and slow before murmuring against my lips, "That is exactly what I'm saying."
