Mike

When I opened my eyes, all I noticed at first was a white room. I lifted my head up slowly, trying to figure out where I was when I see Lucas running towards me. "Lucas? Wh-" I try to say before Lucas hugs me tightly.  I see Dustin rushing over next, hugging me as well. "Okay I think that's enough.." I try to say since they were both crushing me. They both apologized, stepping back. I looked around, frowning. I quickly realised we were in Hawkins Lab. I struggled to remember how I got here before the memories came flooding back. Max pushing me to the ground.. Kicking me.. She kept kicking me...I turned back to my friends, trying to think about something else. "Are you okay?" Lucas asked "Of course! Why wouldn't I be?" I replied although I knew exactly why. "Cause Max beat the shit out of you!" Dustin said a bit too loud for me. Lucas was about to say something else when Max ran in.

They all turned to her, not saying anything. There was awkward silence for a few seconds before Max started to say something. "Mike I-.." She faltered. She took in a deep breath before speaking again. "I'm sorry....for attacking you." She looked down and I almost felt bad for her.  Almost. "I don't care." I said to her in the calmest voice I could manage although I was barely managing to keep my anger in. "I didn't mean to attack you! I just got overwhelmed and-" She started saying before I held up a hand so she could shut up. "I just...don't care." I said. "Honestly, if you want me to forgive you, you can do something." I said, smirking. I could see she had tears in her eyes as she waited me to finish the sentence. Everybody stayed silent, waiting for my response.

"We would all be happier if you just died." I said, a smirk still on my face. Any bit of hope that was on Max's face seemed to disappear. I felt a bit guilty but I decided to ignore it. Max hesitated before running out of the room, trying to hide the fact she was crying. Lucas and Dustin now looked me. I could tell they wanted to say something but they didn't. Even if I was wrong about everybody else, I certainly wanted her dead. Just like her piece of shit brother.

Lucas

I know Mike is my friend but what he said is horrible. I looked over to Dustin, who frowned at me before nodding towards the door. I immediately understood what he meant, running after Max. I didn't know where she went so I just ran to the exit. Thankfully I found her in the carpark, about to get into Billy's car. Well, her car now. "Max!" I shouted before she could get in. She stopped, looking towards me as tears streamed down her cheeks. I walked towards her.  "Max, hey I'm sorry for what happened." I tried to say as sympathetically as I could. "Yeah whatever.." She muttered. She quickly wiped the tears from her eyes and put on a fake smile. "He really shouldn't have said that." I said, shrugging. "Yeah, well it's the truth!" She shouted at me. I widened my eyes, surprised. Does she really think we want her dead? That I want her dead?

"What? That's not true!" I shouted back. "Of course it is! You guys barely ever talk to me anymore ever since they left!" She shouted. I frowned, stopping. That's not true.. Right? I don't really talk to her since we broke up, but the others must. "What are you talking about?" I asked, frowning. "None of you guys have talked to me ever since El and Will left." She said, tears in her eyes again. "That doesn't mean we want you dead!" I started shouting again. "Stop lying!" She said, crying. "I don't want you dead Max!" I shouted again. God. I was about to confess to her by accident. "Well you don't seem to show-" Max tried to say before I shouted over her. "I still like you Max! Okay!?" "Well that doesn't matter!" "Why not?" I asked her, frowning. She seemed to hesitate before shouting something that broke my heart into a million pieces. "Because I never liked you! It was all a lie! Because I'm gay!"
