Why would Dustin try and save me? It's not like he defended me the other night. Whatever. I need to forget about them. They can all go fuck themselves. They act like they're so perfect but will easily turn on each other. Not on each other. On the odd one out. They didn't even like me in the first place. I don't even know why I fucking joined their group.

Realising I zoned out, I snapped back to reality. I found myself in the cafeteria sitting alone. Of course. I had sat alone for the rest of the week ever since that newspaper came out. I stared down at my food that looked like it was years old. I'm not eating this shit. I sighed, picking at my nails. I've been bullied non-stop. Of course I have. People don't accept 'my kind'. I looked around the cafeteria before spotting someone walking over to me.

She had short black hair with straight bangs and round glasses. She was wearing a simply crop top with a jacket and a short skirt. I admit she looks pretty but she looked to serious to have a nice chat with me. She arrived at my table, opening her mouth to say something. Before she could insult me, or shout slurs at me, I interrupted her. "If you're here to beat me up, jut get on with it." I said flatly. There was no point in trying to be confident anymore. It always led up to me in the nurses office.

"What?" She asked, raising a brow. Oh, she's playing dumb now. "You're here to bully me for being gay, are you not?" I asked, not being in the mood for this shit. "Uh..No. I was going to invite you over to my table." She said sincerely. I looked up at her studying her face. She seemed to be serious about this which was surprising. "This isn't some prank, right?" I asked. I was seriously confused. "Obviously not. I noticed you've been alone lately so I thought you needed friends." She said, smiling. "Oh." I said, not really knowing how to respond. "If you're worried about the newspaper, don't. We're kinda known as the gay freaks so we don't care." She said, still smiling. She seemed like a happy person.

I guess I need someone like her in my life right now. I need a change. "You know what? Yeah, I'll join you." I said, standing up. I felt like this invitation had changed something in me. Like I can finally get my life together and find some new, better friends. It may just be an invitation but it means a lot more to me. Somebody wants to be friends with me because they're nice. Not because they want to date me. This change is nice.

I lead the ginger over to the table with my friends. She seemed nice and kinda lonely so I did my amazing job as a good person and invited her over. I'm just worried Stan will scare her off. I brought her to a table with both of my friends. Stan sat down, talking to Kurt about how bad books were. "Hey guys! I invited her over." I said. They both looked over to us slowly. Stan had his long black hair tied into a messy ponytail today although it didn't do much to keep the hair out of his face. He had bags under his eyes and pretty much looked like a living corpse. Some people would say he's 'emo' and honestly, I agree. Kurt surprisingly was friends with us. He had brown hair and was starting to grow stubble.

He plays basketball and is pretty popular yet he decided to hangout with us. He ran a hand through his hair, smiling at Max. "Hey, how's it going?" He asked. I sat down beside Stan, who was basically like my brother at this point. "I've heard about you." He stated, his eyes narrowing. He didn't really like people so it was obvious that he would judge Max. "Hasn't the whole school?" Max said quietly, sitting down. He nodded once as I looked over to him, giving him a death stare.

"So what's the name?" Stan asked, half paying attention, half stuffing a sandwich into his mouth. "Oh, Max. Max Mayfield." She said, giving us a small smile. "Coolio." I replied. I then realised I forgot to introduce my friends. "The emo is Stan and the jock is Kurt." I told her, getting up. The bell was about to ring so I'd walk her to her locker. "They would be dating if Kurt was sure of himself and if Stan had the guts to tell him." I whispered to her, dragging her out of the cafeteria.
