Chapter 1: Dear Fairy Tail

WARNING!! This is a sequel! If you didn't figure that out with the whole "VOLUME III" stuff in the title, then you must be very lost.

It was snowing when Alexandra stood before the destruction of the ice tower. Fairy Tail had long sense fled, and those remaining in the tower were pronounced dead.

"This is a mess..." Lylo muttered to himself.

"Marigold...do you think she's okay?" Alexandra said softly.

"Look, I'm sure she'll be fine-"

"I knew who Marigold was. I knew that she was the Syramin. I knew that she had the monster in her and what it could do if it took over her body..."

"Alex...don't tell me you're blaming yourself-"

"Why not?" Alexandra turns to Lylo with tears running to her chin. "I brought her here didn't I? I owe her so much...she's the reason I had Redmoon...why I was its master."

"Why did you call Marigold to Redmoon all those months ago?" Lylo asked, filled with curiosity.

Alexandra dips her head down, looking at the cracked pavement below her feet that flooded with snow.

"When I used my magic, I took over the minds of people, I gained there knowledge. I learned of a great beast that killed armies when she was a mere child. I wanted to use her, take advantage of her. I still wanted revenge on all the people who'd been cruel to me and my family throughout my life." She brushes the snow off her hair. "But...the more I found out...the more I discovered that she was like me. Only wiser, and forgiving. Marigold was raised in a town that hated her because of the monster inside her. They treated her worse than I was treated. I looked into the memories of people, searching for her history. And no matter what, Marigold was a girl who showed kindness and compassion. I discovered from someone's memories that she'd joined Fairy Tail, so I wanted to meet her. I wanted to learn how she could forgive all those people who disgraced her. When I finally met her, she taught me to let things go, and not hate people when they simply don't understand. I know I was sinless when I was forsaken by all those who mistreated me. But creating my own sins wouldn't solve my problems..."

"Marigold...what did she...what did that monster inside of her do?"

Alexandra turns to Lylo and sighs. "Twelve years ago. She was only five years old...the monster was unleashed and slaughtered almost the entire town. Only the strongest of Fiore's greatest guilds could stop her. But even after her defeat, the death count was..."

Lylo hugs Alexandra. "Alex, it's okay...it's okay now..."

She rests her head on his shoulder. "What are we going to do now?" she sobbed.

Lylo looks at the destruction and sets Alexandra a side for a bit. He looks at a block of ice and kicks it aside. "First, we get rid of the ice." He tosses a bit of the fallen wall away and it slowly melts. "Second, rebuild our guild. Got it?"

Alexandra wipes her eyes and puts on a weak grin. She runs over and kicks the ice swiftly. She screams in pain since it was really thick.

"SON OF A-GYAH!!" Alexandra scrunches up.

"Sorry Alex, but my senses are very-"

"Oh put a sock in it!!"

It was cold in January, especially on the farm. The animals sheltered themselves in barn from the bitter cold, and the old man sat in his chair by a dying fire. He'd stayed up all night with his eyes glaring out his window. He rubbed his eyes and sighed.
