Aether grunts as he felt something had dried up at the entrance of his nose, hissing at the sharp pain.

Where is he now..? He doesn't remember being inside a... An office..?

"what the fuck..?" the blond cussed as he stood up wobbling a lot, it was incredibly cold and the thin clothes he was wearing wasn't helping.

Aether quickly regained his senses and soon he found the exit to the room he was in, it was too dimmed that he didn't have time to search the whole room, he needed to escape once again.

The blond soon banged the door angrily it was clearly locked outside! Aether was furious and the ticking of the clock was getting on his nerve, what did he do to deserve this cruel fate? Why does he have to get drugged, dragged and knocked out for? He already suffered enough!

"Anyone!! Fucking dammit! Get me out of here!" the blond screamed on top of his lungs, he had enough of this shit and he was ready to report this to the police whether they believe him or not.

As if the Gods were listening to him the siren of police car soon erupted the whole building, the little detective aggressively banging the door was determined to get his justice and then maybe the police will take pity on him and open the case of his sister once again!

It took about 20 minutes till they arrived at aether's location, the blond hoping to finally just end all this insane acts and actually ask the police themselves about this whole situation.

The door opened finally as aether was pushed down to the ground, yelping he quickly felt something cold in his wrist, a handcuff..?

"h-huh? Wait..what? Why are you arresting me?!" the blond spoke trying to wiggle out of the cops death grip.

"Aether Celeste, 25, with blond hair, and the murderer of zhongli also called as Rex lapis, act done today at 2:37 pm, may xx, xxx." the officer spoke as aether looks at the officer with horror.

"murder?? What do you mean?! In my whole life I have never murdured anyone! Yet alone this zhongli perso- wait.. Mister zhongli..?" Aether stopped in his tracks as he looked in front of him his mouth agape, as all the colors in the detectives face had all left.

A man with the same figure as Mister zhongli, head decapitated and missing, a few dried and fresh blood gushing out completely disorienting the blond, it was truly.. A gruesome sight.

Aether couldn't comprehend what he had seen and quickly looked away, the food he had eaten yesterday ready to leave his body.

Bobbing his throat he felt acid quickly rush up and so it ends up him vomiting his leftovers, he started coughing and remembering the scene was too much for him to handle.

"take him out!" the officer shouted which the rest of the crew complied dragging the weakened blond out of the crime scene that he didn't even commit, he was too weak to protest, lip quivering as blood trickled once again in his freshly broken nose.

The sound of siren not leaving and the terrified whispers was now what's left to be heared.

"Aether!!" the blond heard his name and slowly lifted his gaze to be met by the man he was with earlier, kazuha.

"what happened..? What did you do?" kazuha came to stop the officers, eager to atleast squeeze out some information from the blond on what was currently happening.

The blond was about to speak when a punch had met his face, wincing a little on the impact.

"Get away from him kaedehara! You murderer.. I will never forgive you! You.. you... I Trusted you." xiao gritted his teeth while kazuha stopped the raging man that was about to beat aether into a pulp.

The crowd gasped at the scene and soon more police cops came and stop the man, while aether bit his lip.

"it's not me.. Please.. Kazuha.. Mister zhongli.." Aether teared up before vomiting yet another batch of his leftovers from yesterday, the scene was hard to stomach and aether wasn't a fan of something so gruesome.

The police quickly pulled the blond up to its feet, dragging him to their car while Xiao was outside ready to kill the blond in mere second.

"stop it Xiao! We still don't have evidence that Aether is the one who killed mister zhongli-!"

"then who?! Tell me kazuha! He was the only one inside the room with a kitchen knife and a gun on the ground! Who else is there beside him?!" Xiao angrily protested.

"he could've been set up..! It's all my fault, I should've gone with him first than minding Jean's problem.." kazuha spoke back frustrated, guilt soon entering him, he felt like something was wrong..

How come the police knew about this..? Utterly bullshit, xiao was too blinded by anger to even think rationally in this type of situations.

Well who could blame him..? He was serving morax ever since he was a kid, although he has never seen zhongli as a father figure, he was a very admirable man.

The blond was quiet inside the vehicle. Resting his head to the window, he can't even rub his freezing hands. He was trying hard not to remember what happened in front of him, it was a mess.

"God.. I can't.." Aether bit his lips taking in the metallic taste of his blood and vomit mixed together,

"hey don't cry now, your sister would really hate you seeing that you can't even handle a mere dead body in front of you" someone spoke from the driver's seat.

Aether quickly raised his head in the mention of his sister and looked at the front only to be met by a metal barrier.

"who are you? How do you know my sister?" the blond barked quickly snarling at the man but was too weak to even fight back, it was no use when he haven't eaten anything ever since yesterday night.

"aw that'll spoil the fun if I said my name too early, why not guess for yourself while I exhibit my plans~?"
