CHAPTER 3

Aethers POV.

As aether struggle to sprint while pain was inavitable, the fact that his hair was a mess sum up with him being half naked right now isn't making anything less worse.

So you wanna ask what happened? Alright, it all started earlier that night....

Aether groaned as he sat up on the couch feeling devastated as a sudden surge of pain struck his ankle...he had sprained it?

Aether was confused but at the same time making it impossible to walk or stand. Why was he in someone else's house?

The blonde quickly examined the entire area for anything that could support him in standing up, this was clearly an attempt of kidnapping!

At this point he just wants to search for a portable phone to call the cops, but all he found was some old newspapers and stock up black coffee, it looks really expensive tho.

"ah.. Your awake." Xiao called carrying what seems to be a small box.

Aether flinched and quickly twisted his head to where he had heard him.

"you! Your that boy who I met with! Did you just knock me out?! This is attempt kidnapping you know! You could've asked for consen---!"

"look. I was ordered to do this, I want to finish my job and I'm not interested in making this any longer than it already seem" Xiao countered before putting the box aside as he approached aether.

"Aiya! Stop! Don't come any closer!" aether yelled as he stood up feeling his legs wooble from the pain in his ankle.

"hey don't stand up so recklessly stupid. You sprained your ankle." Xiao spoke raising both of his hands.

Aether quickly grabbed a lamp that was tempting him to use it as a weapon. Xiao raised his brow before his face darkening.

"you wouldn't do that if I were you." he snapped as aether shuddered.

"Why are you doing this? Is Mr. Zhongli the one who made you do all this..?" aether spoke not letting his guard down before Xiao bravely approached him.

Everything escalated quickly when Xiao grasped aethers waist as his face was too close to his chest due to their size difference. Aether gasped before knocking out Xiao with a lamp at the back of his head. Ouch.

The two toppled over at each other as Xiao was groaning from the pain trying his best not to fall unconscious, how did the lamp not work?! It looks sturdy enough to knock someone out! Aether thought.

He was struggling and is panicking that Xiao might stand up and drag him away.

Aether wiggled leaving his pants in the process, it was hell since he remembered spraining his ankle. He was too scared that leaving in his boxers was probably the best option right now...

(now back to the present)

Aether huffed as he carefully ran with his limping foot. Taking twist and turn, never ending like he's in large looking company although there isn't much people he did capture some of their weird gaze...

He smiled victoriously when he saw an exit with bold letters thinking that spraining his foot was in no vain.

Tho his shoulder bumped someone as he harshly fell with his ass. He cursed rubbing his back as he looked up on which idiot he bumped to.

"woah! You good there buddy?" a ginger smiled as he slowly noticed aethers current state.

"I don't know! What do you think?!" aether scowled as he irritatedly stood up shooting glares at the foreign Infront of him which th ginger took offense.

The man flinched and raise his brow on the stranger he bumped into.

"look comrade. I have no idea what happened to you but no need to be rude." the ginger crossed his arm as aether made a weird face.

But then he remember, there was someone chasing him. Right! That damn kidnapper looking emo!

"dammit get out of the way ginger!" aether stood up as the man gaped feeling offended once again, but before he could even run for his life, a pair of hands had pulled him to the side.

"aether! Can you stop fucking running away and let me explain!" Xiao yelled as aether questions how the hell he was able to catch up after getting knocked down with a sturdy lamp.

"oh yeah?! I could easily scream right now and tell everyone-" aethers mouth was closed firmly by Xiao as he covered his mouth with his spare hand. Aether struggled to break free as he dugged his nail on xiao's arms as an attempt to loose his grip which was of no use. Xiao may be small but he's one strong little shit.

The two were too diverged in their own little world when someone interrupted.

"eh? Xiao? My! What a coincidence!" the man in silhouette waved as he quickly flashed a smile.

"huh? Childe? No. Why are you here?" Xiao asked as if not even interested in a slightest.

"haha harsh as ever! No need to worry, I'm here to meet sensei" childe smiled brightly before eyeing the little blond who's been caught in xiao's arm, mouth covered while stomping his feet.

"although if I may be so bold.. Why is this boy getting chased after.. He seems to be in alot of pain." aether flinched as he made eye contact with childe.

Xiao pulled aether on the side before glaring at the man in front of him.

"please mind your own business. Master is currently on the third floor in the second hallway office." Xiao spoke not wanting the ginger to stick his nose any longer at his business.

Childe pretended to get hurt jokingly clenching his chest before chuckling
"so straightforward as ever haha... Well I won't pry in your business anymore.." then he proceeds to look at aether with a smirk plastered on his face.

"goodluck blondie, may fate bring us to meet again~ although we might see each other more often" he smiled before walking away.

Aether cringed as he was flailing a lot, small little tears forming at the side of his eyes as he shut it tight due to the pain in his ankle worsening.

"don't move idiot. Why not let me talk before purposely knocking me out in the middle of the night." Xiao spoke as he carried aether bridal style which the blonde didn't mind since he was too tired to fight back.

Xiao sighed as he looked back at the now quiet blond in his arms which was also scratched fiercely earlier by the same person.

Such a stubborn chick..
