Chapter 1:Struggle

Chaos. it surrounds me. As I walk along the building top, shield fights the symbiotes but its a losing battle. I don't intervene. I no longer care. Fire surrounds me. Explosions surround me. As I leap off the building, voices of those I know sit in my head.

MJs...
"You have it don't you? you know what that does to you! you know how it can change you!"

Logans...

"If that thing gets control over you...gutting is still an option got me?"

Cats...

"this city is going to be ours. just wait and see"

Kingpins...
"when this is said and done, who will the people remember as their savior?"

As I land on a near by roof top,I notice a Shield APC crash into a building.  Symbiotes engage on the soilders who stumble out. As I swing down I grab one of the symbiotes throwing them into the building and swing kicking the other one away. I turn to one of the soldiers and grab their shoulder.

"Wheres cage and his search party!"

"Who?"

"The civilian volunteers! Pretty red head! arm in a cast! Argh you are no help!"
As i start to lose it to frustration i hear a soldier behing me say, "move that APC we got vehicles in bound!"
a smile almost hit my face as i started to feel hope. "MJ!" I quickly left the soldiers  and started to swing to where the in bound vehicles were. i see a car driving at a fast pace running into symbiotes and drifting to a stop. two people climbed out of the car. Cage and MJ.

I leap from the building I'm on and land onto the roof of their car. "MJ! MJ! I was so worried!"
MJ stepped back startled. "ah damn it!" cage stepped forward "you best play it cool man"
MJ pointed her shotgun at me "is it really you this time?" cage turned to MJ "c'mon we gotta go!"
 I hopped off the car "look look, i promise! i promise i won't use it again!"
"you promise? we are way past that!

Cage placed a hand on her back ushering her the other way "we ain't got time for this"

I could feel my heart being ripped to shreds as MJ walked away. part of me wanted to scream. a shield hover craft landed to pick MJ and Cage up. I was going to turn and leave as i saw her...in the flames, approaching me. MJ saw her and stepped forward to me "oh no get away...get away!" cage grabbed her arm "come on!!"

MJ reached out her hand for me "don't do it! just come with me!"

two black tendrils reached out to grab me and pulled me to her. i could hear MJ yelling. "no no no!!" i could barley see. as i looked up all i could see was the shield hover craft leaving with MJ.

"Mary jane...."

                                                               FOUR DAYS AGO......

It started just like this...four days ago....fighting to breath....to survive. That morning everything changed. 

"Paaarrkerrr" Venom was back. he had attacked Marry Jane and i during a swing trip across new York. Mj was on the ground injured and i wasn't doing so much better myself. Venom picked me up holding me by the head. "I'm feeling hungry" he said as i tried my best to break free with no success "no...Eddie!"

just then when all seemed lost something started to happen. Eddie's symbiote started to bubble as some of it leaked off onto me. venom looked on in surprise "W-What? no no no!" i kicked him in the chest breaking free as i back flipped away from him. as i landed onto the ground my suit started to go from red and blue, to black. "Venom! get ready for a world of pain!" I could feel the rage start to flow through me as the black suite completed covering my body.

Without thinking i grabbed the car in front of me and threw it at Venom. the car exploded on impact with him. i went to shoot a web line at Venom but to my almost shock instead of webbing came a tendril. the tendril wrapped around his neck. I used it to pull myself to him knocking him back down. as he got up, I began to pound his face. each blow with more rage then the last.

Venom bit my arm which stopped my punches. He threw me off sending me into a building next to MJ. As i picked myself up i looked him right in the eyes with more rage. Venom gave a laugh.

"You dare to take the other from me?? I will take the girl from you!"

That did it. it's like something snapped. I grabbed the car next to me and threw it at Venom but he was ready this time. He caught it and sent it right back.I barely rolled out of the way in time. I charged at Venom. I kicked him in the legs knocking him down the uppercutted him into the building next to him. as he lay on the ground weakened i approached him.

"Look at me when i talk to you!"

"P-Peter..."
I heard behind me. i turned around to see MJ being lifted onto a Stretcher. My black suited shifted back into my red suit as i approached her "Marry Jane! thank god.." i stopped and turned around to see Venom was gone. no time to worry about that now. MJ was my priority.

 "is she okay?"
i said to the men getting her on the stretcher

"she'll be fine"
MJ looked at me holding a small wrapped box

"i got your birthday present...but then there was this loud noise and.."

"everything's fine!"
the two men started to bring her to the ambulance

"your gonna be fine! i love my present!....i love my present..."
