You woke up the next morning with a throbbing headache. You let out a yawn and stretched your arms. You went to move only to find something holding you back.
Turning around, your eyes were wide. There was Kid, asleep in your bed with his arms around your waist. You noticed he wore no shirt before looking at yourself, realizing you were naked.
Your face grew red as you recalled the previous nights events. You gently moved his arms to not disturb his slumber and walked over to your dresser, picking out a nice pair of underwear.
You put on the pair of underwear that was a nice dark red and was somewhat sheer as well as nice lace on it.
You put on a matching bra and turned around, seeing the once sleeping Kid looking you up and down.
You let out a gasp and jumped, putting your hand on your heart as your surprised expression turned to a more calmer one.
"Christ! You didn't even make a noise..." You muttered.
"But you sure did last night." He chuckled as he rolled over, his back facing you.
You leaned against the dresser, gripping onto the edge.
"Kid...what even are we. You have this habit of flirting with me and then—"
You heard him erupt with laughter as he sat up, looking at you.
"Flirting? No. You think I'm interested when I'm not. I like to get under your skin. You think you have a shot with me. This was nothing more than a one night stand." He said as he got up, picking up his boxers from the ground and putting them on.
You frowned and looked down, your eyes going dull.
"Why do you have to be so cruel about it? I let you have sex with me and then you treat me like a piece of garbage."
"Cruel? You just can't face the facts. I don't have an interest in you. You've got some shine and a hot body but you're nothing more than a piece of ass that's open to me." He said bluntly as he began to dress himself.
You felt yourself tear up at his harsh words as he approached you. He roughly grabbed your chin and held you by your waist, looking at your tears.
"Did I hurt your feelings? That's too bad. You're so pretty but so damn gullible." Kid said as he kissed you before he pulled away, leaving your room.
You couldn't sob and scream, you simply fell to the ground. You sat there, your heart aching worse than when you saw him with the woman. You buried your face in your knees and silently cried.
He didn't see you as more than a piece of ass.
—
It had been days since his departure. He left you broken, like he stole your heart and left you with an empty void.
You couldn't help but have feelings for such a man. The way he touched you, the way he knew how to get you riled up. He was like an addiction. You had been at your fathers house since then and haven't even left your room aside from using the restroom.
You looked like hell. You barely ate or drank water. You didn't know why it hurt so much. He didn't care for you as much as you did for him yet it felt like someone stabbed you in your chest then walked away.
It was a disgusting pain. You couldn't even cry for him anymore. You could only lay in bed hugging your pillow. You knew his true feelings but here you laid, upset about someone who never cared.
Your body had no energy. You didn't want to do anything. You would occasion caress your body where he would touch just to cope with the fact he wasn't going to care.
Robin or Sanji would check up on you, bringing you food or water, or simply just talking to you. Each time they tried to have a conversation, you brushed them off. You'd always say you were tired or just didn't want to talk.
You couldn't lie. You were tired, mentally. Your heart was shattered into millions of pieces and you were left staring at the pieces, not knowing how to fix it. When someone tried to help, you lashed out. You were just in your own world with your broken heart.
The thing that was most painful was that you were happier with him. Every second you lived to be around him, even when it was just his way of trying to get into your pants. You felt used, you knew all he wanted was to satisfy his needs.
Even with that in mind, you couldn't say you were happier without him. When he was gone, it felt like something was missing. You didn't know him like that woman did but you'd give anything to be with him again.
He was only a fling, only your neighbors boss, just the boss of a repair shop. He was nothing. But to you, he was everything. He was beautiful, he was romantic, he was caring.
Everything was horrible. You wanted to disappear. You wished you never had to experience this. He was nothing more than a man who you began to love and a man who only hurt you. The heartbreak was worse than Niji.
You wanted it all to go away. If this was the aftertaste of true heartbreak, you didn't want to love anyone.
