You had nothing to do anymore. Law was gone, your state went back to its previous one; depressed and bland. You started to go back to work but even then it wasn't enough to keep you distracted.
You were invited to Killer's to watch some horror movies with him, Kid, Wire, and Heat. Of course, you were up to the idea but you didn't know how to feel about Kid being there.
Despite your feelings towards him, you needed to get out. You needed to improve your health in some way. You had gotten Killers number awhile back as well as Kid's. You never texted Kid, instead you talked to Killer. He was like a good friend even if you did things he didn't approve of.
You walked over to his place and entered without a problem. Killer was in the kitchen and greeted you immediately. You walked to him and waved, ignoring Kid's burning stare on the back of your head.
Killer handed you a glass of champagne with a strawberry at the bottom of the glass as he made four glasses of beer. You were all waiting on Heat and Wire.
You thanked Killer and walked over to the couch, taking a seat far from Kid. You made yourself comfortable as you sipped the glass of alcohol. He shook the glass slightly in his hand as he stared at you.
To be honest, you were unsure if he looked at you in anger, hatred, or annoyance. For once, you didn't care whether he loved or hated you. It started to feel like you were coming to terms with the fact you weren't his first choice.
Your presence seemed to bother him. You swore you saw his eye twitch as if he was holding back punching you.
"Killer, can I invite Bonney?"
You stiffened up. Your heart dropped and began to race at her name.
"Kid. You know I don't like her over here. Last time I allowed her here, she trashed my bedroom with you. Suck it up if you don't like (Y/N), she's putting up with it." He said harshly.
You were thanking Killer in your mind. Kid seemed irritated at his answer as Heat and Wire entered. They grabbed their beers from the kitchen counter and made themselves comfortable on the other couches.
Killer played the movie as he began to lay out snacks and handed you a blanket which you happily took. You snuggled up to it as you set your empty glass of alcohol down on the coffee table in front of you.
You leaned against the couch before you felt yourself being pulled towards someone. It was none other then the redhead himself who looked angry with you. He laid your head against his chest and covered both you and him with the warm blanket.
"Kid, what's this for?" You muttered.
He let out a scoff.
"What? Do you think im in love with you? Im just cold." He said as he rolled his eyes.
You raised your brow at how defensive he got at it.
"Why so defensive?" You asked. You saw him grit his teeth as his eyes went dark. He turned away, ignoring your question as his eyes focused on the movie that was playing.
You snickered, causing him to turn his head to you. He looked enraged. He grabbed your face as he always did, his eyes burning with anger.
"I fucking hate you." He mumbled.
"I know. I could tell." You said with a small sad smile. You saw his expression soften for a minute before he let your face go.
He let out a grumble before he wrapped his arms around your waist, holding you close to his warm chest.
It was hard to admit but, you felt at peace with him. You didn't feel used or like he was going to do something to you. It was comforting.
You let out a soft sigh of relief. If only you could always be like this with him.
A/N number 50:
I apologize for the short chapter, this one was just a filler before the next one. Sometimes I wanna publish a chapter but don't know what to write so I end up free-balling it. LOL
