12 Guardians of the Eclipse

Chapter Eleven

Next morning, Adriana woke up in shock. She just had a terrible nightmare.

Flashback

There was bloody everywhere. She was running around looking for people that she knew but none of them were whom she knows until she saw 12 individuals holding onto a person. That person seem rather familiar. She came closer and closer and it made her heart pounding louder and louder as she saw who it was.

"It's me"

"Adriana!!!! My love please don't leave me!" Daniel was crying holding onto her body. Adriana felt her heart hurting just watching that scene.

She woke up and was already sweating. Her heart beating fast.

"What was that dream?"

As she continue on thinking of her nightmare, she didn't realized that Ana has already entered her chamber to get her ready for the ceremony

"Your Highness!" She yelled slightly and Adriana's thoughts were interrupted.

"Oh morning Ana. Sorry I couldn't sleep well"

Ana could see the eye bags were bigger and it got her even more worried.

"Your Highness"

"Yes?"

"Are you alright?"

Adriana couldn't get the image of her dead body from her mind.

"Uh yeah. I'm alright"

"Have something for breakfast. I will start getting you ready"

Ana started with make up and continue on styling Adriana's hair in a bun after braiding it. A simple tiara was placed firmly, using clips to secure them firmly.

As Adriana was eating she couldn't help but admire Ana.

"Ana. May I ask you a question?"

"Yes Your Majesty"

Adriana was trying to form a good sentence and finally said "Are you happy working here at the castle?"

Ana took a moment to answer as she prepared the white wedding dress

"I am. I get to eat well and I am honoured to be directly serving you Your Highness. I was just the cook's daughter who doesn't have any background. I would have been brought to be married to some sailor from another kingdom if I wasn't brought here by my mother and father"

"I see. I'm glad. I wish for your own happiness in the  near future as well Ana. I don't want to have you to be with me forever. I wish to let you venture for your own desire"

"My own desire?"

"Yes. Don't you want to have freedom? To do what you desire to do out there in the big wide world out there?"

Ana thought about it and it made her think.  But then she pushed it away and answered "I will think of that in the future. For now my desire to see you, Your Majesty the Queen to get dressed. It is almost time for the ceremony"

Adriana looked outside and saw that the sun has risen up higher and she knew it was almost time.

Ana then helped Adriana put on the dress and some flat shoes as Adriana couldn't stand wearing heels.

At that moment the sound of church bells were ringing and Ana said "It is time Your Highness" and soon she escorted Adriana out to the entrance of the palace.

Outside there was a crowd and she knew those were the citizens from town of the kingdom.

They have arrived from afar just to witness the ceremony.
